    The Wallabies Thread

Yeah fair enough. I'd happily shift Beale to 12 with DHP at 15, Bring Hodge back to the bench and Hunt to miss out in the big ones pending form, injuries etc. That said, there is no real debate for me anymore that Israel Folau is a winger (with the ability to cover 15) and potentially a best...

    The Wallabies Thread

Here's a thought 9. genia 10. Foley 11. A pacey Fijian 12. Hodge 13. TK 14. Folau 15. Beale 21. Gordon 22. Cooper 23. Hunt Everyone plays in their best position. Our 2nd playmaker starts at 15. Hodge is on for defence, exits, goal kicking etc. and also covers wing. Late in the game Beale...

    Reds 2017

If you think Duncan has played poorly...you are blind and/or from NSW. I've been saying since the start of the year that he should be the back up 10 and Jake Mac should be sent back to club with another 12 on the bench (?Taefu)

Magnay just had a shoulder injury in NRC. It happens in rugby. He shouldn't be far away. On Quade's Instagram he looks bloody fit though.

Round 7 - Brumbies v Reds, GIO Stadium, Canberra Sat 8th Apr @ 7:45PM AEST

He made his starting debut last year for the Reds after the inexplicable decision to pick Jack Tuttle who then was injured. Banks started the next week. We should have hung onto him rather than got Maranta

    Waratahs 2017

Guys, pick the Fijian shithouse for goodness sake. He's slow, has the turning circle of a P&O cruise ship, can't kick and can barely catch but he is a HUGE threat when he gets his running game going. One of the main issues for the waratahs (and the reds and force) this season has been a lack of...

Round 4: Lions v Reds, Sun 19 March @ 1:15am AEST Ellis Park, Johannesberg

Away from home, against last years finalists, nobody giving us a chance. Go you bloody good red things

    Reds 2017

So Genia did his ACL in 2013 then copped some reasonable cartilage damage in 2015 in lead up to RWC. Had surgery again a missed everything up to Wallaby camp in 2016 where he stated publicly that he was no longer doing the longer distance running during S & C because of his knee. I also follow...

    Reds 2017

Genia's knee is apparently well and truly fucked. His body will prevent him from ever being the player he was previously. Would not be a good signing

    Western Force 2017

Richard Hardwick is quickly developing into a very, very good Super Rugby player.

    Brumbies 2017

Joe Powell can play. Been impressive.

    Waratahs 2017

Two things from my perspective; - Hegarty is an able Foley replacement. Executes the Tahs attacking shape more than adequately but is less of a threat all in hand (chip and chase on the weekend not withstanding. He did have advantage at the time so well timed and executed). - the Tahs are...

Round 2 - Force vs Reds, NIB Stadium, 2nd March @ 6:30pm (AWST)

MAXIMUM 1 of the 3 were penalties (probably 0). Changed the momentum definitely, outcome hard to say.

Round 2 - Force vs Reds, NIB Stadium, 2nd March @ 6:30pm (AWST)

So harsh on Fa'agase, pinged twice for tackles that weren't really high, gets scared and goes low with the arms up and gets binned. Outrageously bad refereeing. This is a net positive for Aus rugby though I think. The Force needs wins early more than the Reds do in the grandest scheme of things

    Reds 2017

George is a bit slower but more cunning, more skillful (!!) and it appears to me more physical across 80 min

Round 2 - Force vs Reds, NIB Stadium, 2nd March @ 6:30pm (AWST)

It's difficult for me but I hope that the Force play bloody well, if not win. They have 2 games left before the SANZAAR meeting it would be nice to show that they can take down one of the better sides on paper and illustrate the value of having 5 teams worth of opportunities for professional...

    Western Force 2017

That force back line looks the most balanced I can remember. They will be underestimated by a lot of teams which will end up biting them

    Rebels 2017

Has English ever played/trained at 15? That would be an easy fix to the problem of getting all your best backs on the field.

    Round 1 2017 Waratahs v Force

Robinson is hitting them sweet as a nut generally and Foley's kicking has been rather inconsistent for about 18 months (despite him having a history of nailing a few clutch ones, but Beale used to do that too). Reece should be the kicker with Foley as a back up

    Rebels 2017

McGahan already said flat out that he would prefer to play Lopeti at 8, Mafi at 6 and McMahon at 7. To do that he needs Retallick, Jeffries, Day and Cummins all (or almost all) fit. Tim Buchanan is down there at the moment I think. Would it be a disaster to give him a chance to paper over the...
