Yeah right - during the school holidays yes? I only used games that were in school time as most schools were playing on the same day but thank for the heads up. I still think they're front runners coming into ISA though. You?

2023 ISA Season Predictions: A telling pre-season from the ISA teams. I think this year's comp will be the hardest to predict in recent memory. See trial table below and thoughts: Trial Season: Record: Auggies W Eddies W Cranbrook W Joeys 2nds L Knox L Waverley L Cranbrook 3...

A bit of fun for your Friday morning before Round 1 commences. I present - The CASISA Cup (Part 1). A not-too-serious look at how the CAS/ISA matchups went so far. Part 2 will come out at the end of the season and include the association games A few notes - 1) The top team(s) is/are the one(s)...

Good write up JJ and hard to argue against. Gregs are definitely the joker in the pack this season and agree that their trial form needs to be respected. I suspect their game against Pats this year could well be one of the hardest for them both. It's going to be a great day out at Breen.

Could well be the case WDS. I think a lot of schools have really god teams running around but the difference between them tends to be what happens when your second stringers take the field as injury replacement. Some schools have the depth and others dont. I think Kinross' win over Trinity...

Woods was rested this weekend and Conti went off early with a broken nose.

A pragmatic solution based upon assumed positive intent. Great to hear

Last weekend of trials coming up: Date: 27-5-23 Waverley host Gregs (this will be a real acid test for Gregs) Pats host Knox (given the injuries Pats are carrying, this one will be tough) Stannies host Barker (improving form from Stannies but I dont see Barker losing this) Cranbrook...

Well done to Kinross, Pius and Gregs for flying the ISA banner last weekend. Some convincing results. Have to say that Gregs are certainly going to be knocking on the door of a top 3 ISA finish this year. Their trial form is consistent.

Ok just heard 5 - 7 loss to Pats. A heap of 16s playing to cover injury. Game called off early for a spinal injury

Nope but I did see Grammar 1sts easily accounted for Pats 2nds. Could be a hard day for the Pats Opens teams today

    ISA 2023

That's odd. I can only assume that Grammar's firsts must be carrying a number of injuries for that to be the case. They haven't had the greatest of trial seasons so far with losses to Stannies, Kinross and Aloys. Perhaps an improving Pats doesn't present the same "like for like" opposition that...

Tips for this weekend: Grammar host Pats - Going to say Pats in a close one. Despite the loss to Barker last week, the second half was quality from Pats and they should take heart that their forwards can do the job. Knox host Oakhill - Oakhill are having the toughest of trial seasons and I hope...

    ISA 2023

Agree. Their trial form (regardless of opponent) suggests that they're learning how to win and I think this is important as it will help build momentum coming into round 1. If they can knock off Aloys this weekend, then I think everyone needs to sit up straight, tuck your shirts in and take...
