No knowledge of Oakhill programme but didn't they win the competition for ISA as well as the 1st XV competiton last year. I thought a thread here last year had them beat Auggies who did come back and beat them in the Waratah shield

Would one problem with CHS also be that staff don't want to take sports teams outside of school time. I don't want an argument about private vs public teachers both work hard for what they get. But I have notice a decline in the number of schools were I live either no longer fielding rugby...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

For a game played in heaven there would seem to be a lot of sinners who will thus never see a game played there. Over the various threads we have scholarships with no real conclusion in sight. At the Waratah Shield site we have, rightly, lamentations about how little publicity there is for...

From memory doesn't Cochrane also kick goals very well? I presume that could be a consideration.

From the ISA thread. Quick Hands said: ↑ From what I hear, about half of last year's 1sts and 2nds are back, plus some rep players from their 16As last year. They never seem to lose a whole side, which is a reflection of their strength throughout the age groups. The usual starting xv include...

Agree on your 1st point if that is the case. What would be the thought that say Auggies have 2 great fullbacks. One is in 1st and the other in seconds. In another school the 2nds fullback could be in the 1st team. Perhaps it's also about combinations?

From what has been said in the previous threads, does ISA have a smaller pool to choose from and will not perform as well as 2012?

From reading the threads Auggies played two NZ in a 5 day turn around and won both games against quality schools. One holders of the Press Cup in NZ.

Why would you expect a coach to be so disrespect to his opponents and host? This is a trial fixture to make selections and I would assume that Waverly fielded their best available. I understand that Waverly led for sometime in this match and showed some promise.

Remember that Oakhill and St Greg's both beat Auggies in 2012 in ISA.
