    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

With a brilliant side last year and some top shelf new boys I am predicting the NC 14A will put 60 points on a few teams this year. They put 70 on TSS in a trial . Talk about an overdose of talent

Problem with that is every other team in the GPS is guilty of bringing in rugby talent outside of the normal GPS enrollment process to at least some degree. Lets move on. Yes-lets move on

The new boarding Master you mean. "I am moving to Qld to a School that is looking for good quality rugby players, would you be interested if I put in a word for you and get a fee reduction" So could you please define the true meaning of recruiting? Dear Mr Moderator Can you tell...

Congrats . Great article - very accurate.BBC 15A have great coaches but a lot of injuries. Key centre was expelled and 3 locks are all out for game 1. BBC under 14 team has high hopes and for the first time will either 6 or 7 under 14 teams. You are right they were very inconsistent last year...

Was up in Bundaberg earlier this year and sports section had a story about a local boy that was in the national team for athletics and under 14 Qld team for league and how he was going to Nudgee grade 9 on a scholarship. Big number 8 I think

For me: NC/ACGS are front runners BBC/GT are up there - BBC need to settle on the centre combination. You mean BBC need to settle on a number 12.All smiles at Toowong after Jerumi Nanai clicked back into form (and working towards full fitness) with 2 tries against TSS. Choices for 12 are...

GPS 1 beat AiC1 by 54to 7 Too big and too strong. Best on ground was Tuliana (6 from BSHS) closely followed by Hewitt (8 from NC) Now they are 2 athletes to watch.

I think tribalism is not limited to any school. in the meantime I'm looking forward to an exciting season and perhaps a broadening in the power base of GPS rugby, with both Ippy (though there is questions on their depth) and BBC looking like they could mount a serious challenge for the title...

Apart from an opportunistic tribal bagging when the chance arose, my main point here is that if a proud rugby school like BSHS can't seem to field anything below a B side with at least the cohort size of boys that once sustained E teams then where are the boys???. The same sort of news comes out...

Well done. Good summary. I was also impressed with heart and commitment of BSHS In fact I thought the BSHS back line outplayed BBC in 1st half. However in the end the size and. Fitness of BBC forwards prevailed. It helps when you can bring a 1stxv player From last year like Palmer off the bench...

Mr shark It is a well known secret at BBC that Gunter is not playing well because he is carrying an injury. He either plays with it or bites the bullet and gets an op

We were previously all warned how well Farrell was playing.Looks like Aussie schoolboy coaches were doing more than just watching.

All good points. In 2012 BBC had 5 players injured in rep trials who only played a handful of Gps matches between them.2 went on to play Aussie schoolboys and 3 went on to play Aussie under 20. Oh what might have been
