British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand (2017)

Gatland is an absolute prawn for dumping Teo. The starch he added in defence was immense and their attack was fine.

    Reds 2018

Graham getting a foot in the door is the exact point it started going to shit. The lack of transparency and that old chestnut/cancer of self-entitlement made it's way back into the establishment. It is unforgivable that someone with a less than impressive track record be recruited and then...

    Reds 2018

The sadist thing of all with the Reds is we had it. We had a good team and organizational culture, it generated buy in and performance from the playing group which transferred into results on the field. We had the hearts and minds of the wider community and the Reds brand was the talk of the...

Has Tarquin been put in the pot? Haven't heard from him in a while.

    Waratahs 2018

I spared a thought for the Tahs last night watching the Canes and the Lions. That thought was what idiot let Lousi go? You have no decent locks and he may of been underwhelming at the Tahs but somebody at the canes saw something in him and has got it out of him.

    Unpopular opinion thread

The ARU doesn't need a CEO from the business community but rather somebody with experience in public service at the executive level.

    Reds 2018

Maybe stiles can front the media and talk about his own failings as coach of the Reds. He is starting to have the MO of a politician by blaming others and seeking scapegoats. I'm starting to think he is cultural poison.

    The Wallabies Thread

We look like doing nothing to address those deficiencies. RHP didn't get a look into the Wallaby squad when he could very well be a long term Wallaby 6. The younger hooker in the Wallaby squad didn't even see game time in the tests just gone. We just rolled out two hookers at the back end of...

The great Irony of that tale is Elsom played better lighter. Played above his weight because he had good technique.

Hunt has that starch in his game that I think complements having him in combination with Cooper. Anthony Fainga'a but with better distribution skills.

    Worst Commentator Pole Action

Great player John Eales but geez, listening to him commentate is borderline torture.

    Worst Commentator Pole Action

Bad conundrum during the Lions test over the weekend. I like the background noise of the crowd so I prefer to leave the sound on. Problem is that I have to listen to Ian f_king Smith. Is it really that hard to have Sumo as the sideline commentator? Can somebody push Smiffy off a cliff or...

That's the next step. The new coach needs the autonomy to implement the plan that got him the job. Assistants of choice should be part of their presentation to the selection panel though.

    Reds 2017

Reds recruitment has been lazy. they have looked to assemble experienced players but done nothing to build a team. I would love to see Stiles get punted. I don't care if we don't get someone world class but I want the person to be selected after a rigid recruitment process where they have...

Nothing against DP but Hunt needs to finish the season at 12. DP to 15 for mine.

South Africa vs France, Middle of the Night, Pretoria 10 June 17

Mosstert is one hell of a good player. He springs to mind when people in Australia talk about good locks needing to be big and what a fallacy it is. Slipped under the radar this series due to the Lions and NZ but it has been a good series to watch.

British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand (2017)

Lions were to passive. There were several times when the counter ruck was on and they just fanned out to defend the next phase. There were clearly moments in that game they had the All Blacks measure but just didn't go in hard physically to make the most of it. Cracking game to watch though...

    Australia v Italy, Suncorp Stadium, 24th June 2017 @ 3:00pm

It is disappointing not to see Tui get game time in these tests.

First to admit Paarl that performance from the Boks I did not expect.
