    Hore's brain-fart

There is a physics answer here where the probability of error is greater the further the striking distance is from your own height/natural position. Its a bit like your more likely to miss your target when kicking for goal from half way then from the 22 line.

    Hore's brain-fart

My theory is that the wanker factor is much higher amongst expats and there are lots of kiwi expats in aus. Plenty of expat dickheads in London from all sources though. No one should Judge a nationality until they have watched a parochial home game in that nation.

Wallabies vs Italy - 25th Nov

Have only seen the highlights but there seems to be an Italian knock on in the lead up to their try

ARU contracting process - how could it be improved?

No, hooper is great but Pocock world class. We need to keep both.

    Hore's brain-fart

Personally, I think hore's accidental knee does more damage than his swinging arm but e intent was there so I suspect we won't see him again until super rugby 2013, I.e. a 1 week suspension.

ARU contracting process - how could it be improved?

What happens in practice is what happens in reality, or do you have multiple realities??? There are ways around the problem you raised. One option might be to make it the combined total of super rugby games and wallaby tests (and tour matches), and keep the bonus at every 25 games...

ARU contracting process - how could it be improved?

What about longer term remuneration? Say bonus payments for people when they play 25, 50, 75 tests etc.?

ARU contracting process - how could it be improved?

Good point BH. I didn't think of that.

ARU contracting process - how could it be improved?

Some principles I would like to see: a) The ARU negotiates a base contract with an elite squad (say 27-32 for arguments sake). Each contract has a two year duration and half of the contracts expire/renew each year. If a player signs an elite contract, they have to be available for test matchs...

Who should be the next ARU CEO?

Quade has strong views on how the ARU should be run. Maybe he should throw his hat into the ring. Atleast we would be likely to get a new Wallaby coach.

Quade telling it how it is

Do Khoder Nasser manage anyone else? I am worried there will be others who will put us and our game through these shenaningans.

Quade telling it how it is

not sure what blue will take as the bigger insult, being called a tahs supporter or a stormers fan.

Quade telling it how it is

As far as I can tell, the ARU have asked themselves whether quade is in the best 32 players in the country. Most would answer that as no given the developments of the last 12 months. We have had more than 30 players travel to Europe just for this spring tour so there isn't much room for...

    Australia v England @ Twickers 17 Nov 2012

It was great to see us playing with intent. Pigs were good. Taps, barnes and cummins were strong in the backs. Both tries had question marks BT the end result seemed fair to me.

Wallabies - how not to lose, rather than win

Wayne Smith's article today seems spot on the money to me http://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/wallabies/its-time-for-australian-rugby-to-take-a-good-honest-look-at-the-wallabies-writes-wayne-smith/story-e6frf55l-1226514997489

    Brumbies 2013

The NRL's position is understandable, they cant have star players being interveiwed in the oppositions gear. I buderus had of done it low key then maybe it would have been ok. But once he was in the press in brumbies kit the NRL was always going to pull whatever levers they could. BTW, acting...

    Is intent enough?

This is fine if the opposition don't score tries either, but as shown in TRC once the opposition started scoring tries, we couldn't kick enough penalties to keep up (or to compensate for our lack of try scoring ability).

2013 British & Irish Lions Test - Brisbane Pricing

I had (late release) vision impaired seats for that game. Turned out they were on the goal line in the NW corner and were brilliant, much better than most of my mates whose seats were somewhere above Rhodes. The Harrison line out was just in front of us. Only part of the field we couldn't see...

    Is intent enough?

Is intent enough? Yes. Do the wallabies show intent? - no We have become risk averse since about 2003 which isnt the wallabies way. Whats more we have become what I would call rugby dumb. Maybe I was too spoilt by brumbies from 1996 to 2004 but they always seemed to find a new way (or reinvent...
