Other than KB (Kurtley Beale), Quade, JOC (James O'Connor), Pocock, CFS, Browning and Hooper to name just a few?

    Waratahs 2020

But wasn't there a blow up over the appointment of the new coach and that's one of the reasons for a quick exit?

    Refereeing decisions

That would be completely over the top to dismiss all 4 officials. The referee made the call to not YC Wales as he decided that he didn't want to punish Wales by having 13 men for near on 10 minutes. No one other than the referee should be accountable for this decision. The review question is...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

I understand but I would be loathe to add more tasks to a referee at scrum time particularly while they are trying to manage scrum issues such as resets. My understanding of adult and schools rugby is that the only game that gets time off at all is the 1st XV game at the end of the day. I...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Well that is only 1 element of the issue and it is much harder than you think to referee a game and start and stop your watch 50-100 times a match. The other more significant issue is that most clubs and schools run to a very tight schedule eg games on the hour and this would create much more...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

I believe that the Law makers will be reluctant to make significant changes like that which are not as easily implemented at the community level of the game. If you decide to implement only at the professional level, then there is a danger that the games diverge too far.

    Shute Shield 2019

    that is sad news

    Refereeing decisions

A penalty try requires a judgment as to whether a try would probably have been scored. Your own words were that it probably would have been knocked on anyway. Therefore I think it is more than appropriate for the referee to argue that a probable try was not prevented. I am strong believer that...

    Refereeing decisions

A PK only against Fidow would have been a better decision. The knees weren't the cause of the knock on plus PK only would have saved a RC. Scotland didn't deserve a try as Maitland made a mistake.

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Rugby is a game played on the advantage line with often very flat attacks and limited space to the defensive line. IMO allowing deliberate knock-ons would result in a significant increase in that type of negative play and the resultant scrums particularly from a team with a dominant scrum. At...

    Ideas for NRC

It is an interesting legacy of the laws of the game that a try out wide is on average not worth as many points as a try under the posts. There would definitely be ways to resolve this issue however I suspect that most fans would like to keep the drama of a sideline conversion. My own opinion is...

I think Max Douglas is injured. He missed the last 4 weeks of the season.

Can you explain why you believe that he was ineligible?

    Shute Shield 2019

It would seem that one of the best things that they could do would be to get Darren Coleman.

Points are normally based on 2018 achievements not 2019.

    Reds 2020

However these awards do and should be won more often than not by a club player who plays the whole competition and excels at this level but is not necessarily destined for higher honours.

    NSW AAGPS 2019

Maybe his mind just got a bit cluttered due to the importance of the occasion. It's not easy to be a referee on these days.
