    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

i like douglas but i do feel that there are better options who are much more athletic and as a result more capable of getting a variety of work done around the park. i really don't want to see mccabe selected. to me he offers nothing and on form i would take horne over him for a direct hard...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

i guess i am just of a different mindset. i don't think he is a special player just like i didn't think vickerman was a special player that warranted selection above a few others. he is good and he's hard, but i don't think he's some extraordinary talent that should be rushed back into the fold...
  3. Sir Arthur Higgins

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

agree. he's a world class 15 when fit. but he's not fit enough of the time and whilst he does have a special skill set, i think there are at least a couple players in the pipeline with similar skillsets, they just need more game time to mature and develop. when they do, they will have his skills...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

MMM played what, four weeks of rugby, and is still out....i don't think he's a shot and don't think he should be to be honest. you don't want someone regaining match fitness in the lions tests.

    Rebels 2014

Agree. they have unearthed some quality players this year in addition to the last couple years. Higgers outstanding Jason Woodward is looking absurdly promising and Tommy English is turning into a great find. I don't think we're done either with Situati showing glimpses of being quality.

Timani with a suspected broken thumb not sure what that means re lions tour but could be an opening for one of or both of douglas and pyle to get in. which should've been the case anyways.

you and blues recovery obviously have some ins at the club. so hill is happy to stay on even if he's not head coach?
  8. Sir Arthur Higgins

    Rebels 2014

really? that is too bad. i am very pleased with the turnaround lately. and he seems to have the backing of very key players (re-signings and new signings evidence that). any word on who?
  9. Sir Arthur Higgins

    Rebels 2014

his attack is too strong to leave him out. his defense was massively improved initially, but fell off the last couple games. i think he'll remain the starting winger alongside kingston going forward. i also think english is a natural move to 12 for us. very excited with this squad. i...

    Rebels 2014

oh also - i'd say with the recruitment of kingston and foley, both sydney uni boys, and with the recent turnaround since the kings game, hill is an absolute lock to remain on next year.

    Rebels 2014

i know for a fact davidson is gone. mate works with him and he's either going back to sydney or joining the workforce down here fulltime. dyer is academy isn't he? don't see why he can't stay as part of the extended EPS squad.

    Rebels 2014

i think JOC (James O'Connor) is a superb player, but to be honest. the way our boys have stepped up the past 3 weeks, i am pretty confident without him and to me the signing of foley to provide specific 10 services signals that JOC (James O'Connor) is leaving. if JOC (James O'Connor) is our preferred and likely 10 going forward, why would foley...
  13. Sir Arthur Higgins

    Rebels 2014

agree i think our lock stocks are absolutely top class 7's from faainga, reid and fuglistaller 6's from jones and saffy 8's from higgers, saffy and.....dyer? we are building a great team and solid depth imo.

    Rebels 2014

not sure on kingston (just haven't seen much of him) but foley is an absolutely fantastic signing. agree ree above CT. O'Connor unlikely to be getting his way and rolling over people here on out. beale clearly going to the tahs, hence foley leaving. the question is where does JOC (James O'Connor) end up - i...

    Waratahs 2014

haha - where is that guy "he could be the next guscott"
  16. Sir Arthur Higgins

    Waratahs 2014

doesn't sound like he was a brilliant player then....... he was potentially one, but he's steadily fallen from his highs. he's been on and off the bench for sale. he's a wasted talent.
  17. Sir Arthur Higgins

    Rebels 2013

i'd go phipps Hegarty Mitchell JOC (James O'Connor) Inman English Woodward Stirz Sidey Vuna i dont think beale warrants immediate selection to be honest. i'd move JOC (James O'Connor) to 10 after half and bring on Vuna and Sidey as well.
  18. Sir Arthur Higgins

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

i agree. if he's not playing for country and he's unlikely to get a jersey for the rebels, i don't see how he can be in the wallabies squad. based on hill's comments, i would be shocked if burgess got given a run against the lions for the rebels. the two nicks aren't going to get to play against...
