I beg to differ - they wore blue in the NRC…

Either the Rebels have stopped emailing stuff or I have inadvertently started blocking their email as the last time I received an email from the was on 23rd December. Anyone else?

Such a random selection of teams to buy into. Next thing they will take a stake in the mighty Newport Breakers…

The biggest crowds the Rebels get are when they play a Kiwi team, so I expect a decent number at NZ games - especially a Kiwi derby.

Will be interesting to see what the ticketing arrangements will be. Assuming if a daily ticket Rebels members will get two games on the Sunday. Unfortunately I will have to miss the Saturday games but would go Friday if not overly costly.

Bloody hell, Kev, can I change your name to Debbie Downer? Yeah, I know we tend to be a bit shit at times but I at least like to start with some optimism!

Who said they aren’t going to have a big player signing? This isn’t the last of the signings.

Some interesting trivia, ex Rebel Angus Cottrell is currently the highest try scorer in the US MLR, with Harrison Goddard not far behind. Both playing for the Aussie, sorry, LA Giltinis.

Club Statement: Following advice from SANZAAR, the Melbourne Rebels will fly to Sydney this evening and will base themselves there for the next couple of days. The plan is to then travel to New Zealand on Saturday to play in Queenstown on Sunday as scheduled. As always our actions will be...

At least our match is Sunday. Won’t help if they extend it.

Was speaking with someone on the weekend who is high up with Rugby Vic and Rebels about Carter Gordon. He said he was not picked earlier because during pre-season / trial he seemed a bit “deer in the headlights” so they wanted to give him more time amongst an Super Rugby setup before sending him out on...

My guess is Dave felt a win against the Kiwis in TT was unlikely so asked to leave to help preserve his win ratio. I’m sure he knew and / or was told his contract was not going to be renewed. He’s not leaving the “company “ until the end of his contract, though.

I’d be seriously giving them a look in. Stiles has been around the Rebels on occasion. OK, so the Reds didn’t go well for Nick but he didn’t get much of a shot at it.

Seattle Seawolves could do with a decent coach. As for us, bring back Sean Hedger - I have good memories of the 2014 NRC Rising season.

Cool. I saw him warming up before the Tahs match on the weekend, looked like he was raring to play that night. Might watch the match tomorrow to see how he goes.

Assume that means Trevor will be back for the first TT then.
