It's been a bit unclear how it applies to defending pick and goes. There's very little margin for error if the ball carrier is coming in with low body height and his torso is near horizontal.

Yeah watching the documentary the AFL coach seemed to be there as a vibe curator for lack of better descriptor. Atmosphere and team chemistry are important to a good World Cup run, but as an AFL guy I'm not sure he would have the credibility with players needed to be successful in his role...

I think there's a couple guys pushing social media content centered around the QPR and not just Prems. Ralph Noga is one of them. Would be really good for the game if that continues.

Is that true? I wasn't particularly stoked about paying my rego for grades and it was only just over $500. I'd quit and play subbies if they wanted $750 for a season. The vast majority of the guys I play with would do the same.

The Normanby Hotel must be particularly easy to work with on events or big groups. Been to an oddly high amount of big group functions there compared to other places.

Petaia definitely has the higher ceiling between him and Jock Campbell, but Campbell is a safer set of hands that will do the basics right and allow the team around him to function better. Maybe that changes as Petaia has a consistent run of games at 15.

Maybe Super Round would fare better in a city with a more vibrant rugby culture. Do it in Brisbane and let people run feral on Caxton Street.

He is a classic example of a guy who has so much natural talent that he never actually had to consciously think about the game much. I tend to think undersized players or those with a weakness they had to work around make better coaches for that reason.

I challenge Sonny Bill Williams to complete a sentence without some combination of a 3 second pause where he loses his train of thought, a mispronounced word, or punctuating it with brother/my bro.

Crosby Road has been suffering from an invasive species wearing butcher stripes for quite some time, they have a tendency to swarm around the nearest official and protest loudly after every penalty given.

    Waratahs 2024

Went to the Reds-Warratahs game, Mark Nawaqanitawase looked noticeably massive compared to even some of the forwards. Seemed like he was blowing hard the whole game and struggling to have the degree of involvement you'd ideally like. Do I need a vision check or did anyone who watches him on a...

Scrap the two teams that actually have recognition from non-rugby people? The Khmer Rouge is probably not the best case study for revitalizing a commercial brand.

Cutting the salary cap to the point where the financials are sustainable across the competition and shifting toward a more domestic oriented club competition with a couple new teams is one option. Reforming eligibility laws and accepting that elite players with their larger pay demands will head...

There would likely have to be some city/region splitting similar to the original NRC. QLD: Brisbane City, QLD country up north, QLD coast based in GC or the sunny coast NSW: Sydney, Western Sydney, then a NSW country team Victoria: Melbourne WA: Perth ACT: Canberra There's one spot left that...

How are overall numbers looking at different clubs? Maybe more guys will trickle in but we're looking at fewer people compared to last year at mine.

Could fill a nice role as a finisher at 12. 60 minutes of Paisami battering the midfield and then putting on JOC (James O'Connor) to pick out passes and control possession might work, especially since working against tired legs hides speed or stamina issues on defense. Barring injury issues, your point about...

If you want an American team stick it in LA, not Hawaii. You're eating the timezone difference and flight costs regardless, might as well go for a place where there might actually be revenue. Hawaii is where athletic ventures go to die due to poor infrastructure, lack of money, isolation from...

Tate is in for sure, Petaia has to be in as well even if we're not sure whether it's at 13, winger, or fullback. Unsure why he thinks only Fraser gets in when he had arguably the weakest World Cup showing of the three players.
