    Sevens 2022/23 (World Series etc)

Australia 24 - New Zealand 17 That's us into the quarters and NZ to the plate We play Ireland in the quarters, which is probably the best draw we could get, avoiding Fiji, Samoa and SA.

He could. But I think its far more likely that WC2023 will be his international swansong and he'll maybe do something in Japan after that, for two years or less. The guy has climbed just about every mountain available, I've lost count of the JE medals won, what more is there for him to do?

Apart from trying to curry favour with particular rugby journalists, is there any justification for announcing Hooper will start 24 hours before the team is announced? If Hooper can be announced Wednesday, why not everyone? And the excuse of drumming up interest? I call bullshit.

    Women's RWC

Australia will want to get away from England, France and NZ. Is that even possible?

    Reds 2023

Swain and Edmed probably have to aim for 2027, but Johnson-Holmes chances all hinge on how many Super games he plays and how he goes against QLD, Rebels and ACT opposition. If he goes well against AAA, Pone and Thor I think he'll get the third tight head spot.

National U16 and U19 match discussion.

At 15 years of age it is way too early to be annointing specials. Just let him keep playing age group and learning the game. If he's still that good in U-19's then you can put him on the fast track.

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Given Foley is not playing all five games on the tour due to the agreement with his Japanese club, someone is going to have to start the last two games at 10.

France vs England could easily be a preview of the final.

Finally, no Creighton. The pairing of Stewart and Henry is our strongest on tour, and Kuenzle was good last game. At last there is a chance that Vunivalu will get a pass from his outside centre. Only problem I see is that Edmed and Peitch are 22 and 23. Who plays where if Henry gets injured?

Australia A v Japan XV matches

I think you are pulling our leg. The area of his game that Mark N (Nawaqanitawase) still needs to majorly improve is his defense, albeit that he has already made major strides in that direction this year. But for a 13, defence is a whole new ballgame; it is the first requirement to be selected there and it needs...

Australia A v Japan XV matches

I thought there was a lot to like about the game. For the Japanese, Leitch was immense. Without him they would have lost by heaps, he was the best player on the park by a long way. For Australia there was also a lot to like: Both starting props were excellent, Pone especially. If Taniella goes...

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Everyone has an opinion about players just starting out and how good they looked. I remember Cliffy Palu's first game in a trial against the Crusaders at the SFS when he tore them to shreds. That's the last time I remember that ever happening to the Sadists. Now that was impressive! By...

TRC 2022: Argentina v South Africa

Maybe Frans Steyn is getting one last start before he retires. Given his play so far, its time I think. But with a 6:2 bench there won't want to be too many backline injuries, otherwise he'll have to play 80 minutes and his last 10 will be pretty slow.

Wallabies v Springboks - Adelaide Oval, Sat 27th August, 2022

That was not the Emu's contention. He claimed, and I agree, that Koro attempted to wrap his left arm around his opponent but that Mapimpe jinked to avoid him. It all comes down to whether you must wrap or whether you must attempt to wrap according to the interpretation of the law.law.

List out the senior players from that game who had a role to be leader and did not execute: Tupou - was much worse but still in the squad White - should have been the leader who stepped it up. Under Rennie's system he is the primary playmaker, who O'Connor was relying on for quick, clean ball...
