out of interest - is that the normal number of front rowers in a supe squad? looks a lot.

    Subbies 2023!

thats what I'm kind of pointing at. Have 10 clubs that are required to have 5 grades and colts (and probably a women's team). Fuckit call div 2, division 1 for all I care - if it means a wickedly strong Div 1 comp where there are few dollars being thrown around - go for it. The winner of div 2...

    Subbies 2023!

I think so - hence why Hornsby went there - they were quite open about it. Something ( as a former subbies player) I never had an issue with was the payment of players. Like the AFL comps in Melbourne - they have the luxury of the amateur comp which is largely old boys / suburban clubs, and...

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

Out of interest Seiffert Oval or whatever its called looked a bit sheizen on TV. Who's decision was it to play there? Assume no cash RA decided on the venue?

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

yes was good to see Whitthaker there, all of the Brumbies coaches as well as (obviously) Nathan Gray who runs the under 20s. Just got to keep the mungos away somehow. God that mungo on Offsiders this morning had me riled. crocodile tears for the code and bemoaning RA for talking with Crighton...

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

Watched both games today. How long has this format been going for? Can only be a good thing. Observations U16 - wow Tahs were big and bullied the QLDers. It really was men vs boys stuff but QLD scrapped and held on for 70 mins. No doubt we'll see some of these tahs boys in a few years playing...

    Waratahs 2024

I was pleased to see this. Australian rugby needs big packs. South Africa have bullied their way to the RWC final and most people are in awe of this. We bitch and moan that the mungos pinch our players - but its massive second rowers and props (IMHO) that we need in our 5 pro teams that will set...

    ISA 2023

a real (and rare) growth story about schools rugby. Have a mate who went there in the 90s. They had a first xv and no other open teams. Now they rival some GPS schools as to the amount of rugby teams they have. (25 plus). A real rugby school these days. So good to see.

    Wallabies 2024

To be fair ( and I used to be in your camp Pfitzy), RA has done absolutely everything in its power to give multiple reasons for the Oz to target them. Talk about leading with the glass jaw....

    Australian Rugby / RA

The Penrith Emus situation really has me flumoxxed - a consistent 1st division subbies club in the 90s that should have stayed there. I assume the amateur status of subbies is the reason the Emus aren't back in subbies. Like Hornsby which plays in the Central Coast comp these days. There are a...
