    Reds vs Brumbies - Rd 5, 2015

Saving himself for the NRC? Shameful malingering.

    Force v Rebels Rd 5

Last year he made changes at the drop of a hat, this year he won't change at all. English has to be on thin, thin, ice. Fuglistaller over Colby makes me think McGahan is planning for a proper tough bastard game. You lose Colby's linking ability, but if we're getting down into a scrap...

    Reds vs Brumbies - Rd 5, 2015

That's a very long and unfair bow to draw IMO. Questioning his toughness is seriously rough. Only have to look at him dragging himself off the ground with a broken sternum to try and stop Rene Ranger coming at him like a train. If he hasn't been able to put in a proper pre-season and has now...

    Force v Rebels Rd 5

Patellar tendinitis is what he's got right? Not much you can do about it really, especially since it can so easily re-occur. I reckon if we were really struggling for depth they'd pump it full of cortisone and he'd be good to go on a week-to-week basis, but we've finally got some outside back...

    Force v Rebels Rd 5

Yeah you're right. Watched it again. Lahiff and PAE were the starting props. 32-0 after 26 minutes. Lahiff and Neville dragged in the 27th. No more points conceded. It's mind-bogglingly awful rugby. Lachie Mitchell was no good. I'm sure he's a great bloke, but he really wasn't up to it...

Don't think I've ever been angrier after a game than I was after this game last year. That first 25 minutes or whatever it was before Neville and, I think, PAE got dragged were just disgraceful.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I'd say he's probably about even with Lilo at inside centre, 2nd best fullback but agree about 4th best flyhalf. I wouldn't be picking him as a starter. I'd be picking him as a bench player who can pinch hit in a number of different roles when required. Like a rugby version of Glenn Maxwell...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

BDA, if it came down to Lilo or Beale at 12 I'd probably chance towards Lilo as well. However Beale is probably going to be either second or third choice at 12, 15 and 10. Could chuck him on the wing at a pinch as well if you had to. Can kick long goals if needed (and able to stay on his feet)...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Beale had a shit week one, but was MotM against the Rebels and would have gone very close last night against the Reds. He's running straight, getting over the gainline, and playing with great touch. If he keeps this up there's absolutely no way he doesn't make the squad and he'd be deeply...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I love JOC (James O'Connor) at 12 or even 13 in a Conrad Smith sort of role. Everything about his game absolutely screams it. If he played in New Zealand they never would have moved him out of there. As for that team, the balance looks off to me. No combinations, not sure what sort of rugby we'd be trying to...

Karmichael Hunt charged with cocaine supply.

How random do you really think it is? Random like the cycling tests are random? Random like the tests in the NFL are random? I've made this point before, but there's very, very, little interest in catching these guys. Partly because the WADA penalties can be so harsh - banned from all sports...

Karmichael Hunt charged with cocaine supply.

That's completely head in the sand stuff. Cocaine gets out of your system incredibly quickly, one of the reasons why it's so popular. Plenty of masking substances you can take as well. And really, I can't think of a reason why rugby players would be any smarter than AFL players.

    Rebels 2015

How do you figure? I either want variety or high-speed execution, preferably both. At the moment it's limited variety done at somewhat less than full clip.

    Rebels 2015

So we're up to three! Positively expansive.

    Rebels 2015

Oh and another thing. Are there any backline moves other than an inside ball to Inman? It seems to be either that or fairless aimless shuffling the ball down the line while the defence drifts across. They don't run straight and hard enough to fix the defence in the way the Canes and Chiefs do...

    Rebels 2015

What does my head in is when you see them setting up a seven man lineout. You know they're going to try and throw it to the back, the opposition know they're going to try and throw it to the back, Marto probably knows they're going to try and throw it to the back, and then they try and throw it...

Rebels v Brumbies Super Rugby 2015 Rnd 3

m8. I will fight you. He swings his arm around in a successful attempt to wrap the ball. On the way through he catches Jones' nose. I don't think anyone is saying it was malicious, but it was a swinging arm in a tackle that resulted in an injury. If it happened in open play a ref would...

Rebels v Brumbies Super Rugby 2015 Rnd 3

Forearm straight across the face. Anyway, it's probably one of those ones where we're both seeing what we want to see.

Rebels v Brumbies Super Rugby 2015 Rnd 3

They all had their moments really, which I guess is encouraging on one level. I think we can safely say Weeks is better than Ryan at this point though. Putting himself in the conversation for the third TH spot.

Rebels v Brumbies Super Rugby 2015 Rnd 3

He did. Watch it again. He swings his arm down and across, clocks Jones' face on the way through. Again, I'm not saying it was dirty but it was a bit reckless. A swinging arm to the face, whether it's deliberate or not, should be looked at by the refs.
