French Barbarians v Australia, Thursday 24 November

I'm about to show that 'blood is thicker than water': "Sam Carter for Australia A Captain"!!!

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Good luck to our boys. There are queries by some here, on some of the selections, but whilst they are wearing the 'gold jersey', they are "our team", whatever their names are!

    BLK Goooone

Thank you kind sir! BTW, no one replied to my question re our French-test team announcement timing. What's the word down your way?

BH81, that Courier Mail link, (like so many others on GAGR), only gives me headlines and ads, plus the offer to subscribe to get more details!!

Ah, Mr Jarse, you never fail to deliver!! BTW, there's nothing poor about Kingaroy (and I still have a tea-towel signed by Sir Joh), and Ipswich, and last time I rotated my globe, neither appeared as a country!

    BLK Goooone

I just read that BLK has manufacturing facilities in China. Surely it wouldn't be too hard to increase output by introducing 3 x 8-hour shifts, (or more likely 2 x 12-hour shifts), to make up for Fiji being off-line. As others have suggested here, I think it's more than just the Fiji cyclone...

    BLK Goooone

Interesting to compare the BLK scenario with Swickers Kingaroy Bacon factory in Queensland, destroyed by fire recently, and back operating in a processing facility in Ipswich eight days later, without any of the 120 jobs lost! That's the risk you take when you move your manufacturing facility to...

HJN, sorry but I didn't see your post!! I always thought Chris was Pat's cousin, not brother!!!

BH, he wouldn't be "by himself", if he was with his cousin "Pat"!!

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Totally agree, H35, but we will never know if he would have been able to supply that "X factor", (or in this case the "XI factor") in those last 25 minutes of that match!

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

The Socceroos almost paid the price for "resting" Tim Cahill from the Thailand match, scraping home with a 2-2 draw. He did have some Achilles soreness, but that was over two weeks ago.

French Barbarians v Australia, Thursday 24 November

Lindommer, I totally agree with your last paragraph, re the coaching staff. Larkham would (should) "jump at the chance".

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Will the team for this test be announced sometime tomorrow, or Friday morning (our time)?

    BLK Goooone

I said at the time of their change from Kooga to BLK, that it was a retrograde marketing move, (many here agreeing), and whilst that change wouldn't have brought about the "external administration", it wouldn't have helped.

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Am I the only person here who is surprised by the calls to "rest Folau"? Is he expected to have an increased workload on this tour, (compared to any other back), or is he carrying an injury?
  17. Mr Doug

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

    The new "Mr T"?!

French Barbarians v Australia, Thursday 24 November

Hugh, the thought did cross my mind that now that The Barbarians matches are over, (unbeaten) head coach Robbie could drop into Paris to guide Australia (A?) through the French Barbarians match!!
