Full agree with forward play, a great deal harder for a leaguie forward to convert to the techiques and skills of the rugby forward. I believe, it is a little easier for the backs to swap between the 2 games.

I don't whether the ARU is the problem, it seems to me that private school selection panels (take that as GPS & CAS) and NSWRU are more the problem.

Hugie, Unless you have some inside info, the schools squad has not been selected yet. Some bloggers have put out their ideas (12 out of 15 GPS) of the 1st/15 and it will be probably be close to the mark given past selection history but don't write off some of the boys yet, if the selectors...

That's the way add another GPS player to the list. GPS = NSW Schools, why not forget trials and just sent the GPS off to do battle with a selected Qld team.;)
