Green and gold's shining light, spreading rays of truth & reason across the forum, an evangelist for the unconverted, you might say.

The old adage, you're only as good as your assistant coaches - Eddie's results are certainly testament to that, 78% record with Borthwick vs 41% without. It also pays to note that Eddie acheved his best results with Australia during the period where Link was his right-hand man, after Link left...

I would mention he had young Smithy & Shag as co-head coaches, essentially equally contributing legs of a 3 legged stall.

Bang on mate & with Bell/Tupou injured Eddie's 'smash n' grab' operation has been severely compromised and is now in dire straights. I reckon we just write off this world cup cycle entirely & start targeting 2027 with a young fresh-off-the-block head coach like Crono. I'm a big believer coaches...

mate - Macqueen was into his 60's by then and had Nathan Grey as his assistant coach.

Hodgson missed the finals each year with the Wests Tigers as assistant & missed the finals both years with Hull FC as head coach... Whatever Eddie's selection criteria for his assistants is, it certainly doesn't include a distinguished history of on-field coaching success!

Much too simplistic view on things, IMO due to contextual circumstances it's hardly fair to compare records post-Deans with pre. Context is very important, as there are simply too many administrational & circumstantial factors that have contributed to McKenzie, Cheika, Rennie poor win rates...

Rennie is the winner to come out of this. Great Wallabies coach unfortunately hamstrung by poor assistants - unlike Eddie and Robbie who during their Wallabies tenures had two of Australia's best rugby minds (McKenzie and Nuicifora) as their assistant coaches. be interesting to see if Eddie can...

Why does Hugh Sinclair continue to be used at lock? 1.91cm and 104kg, are the Tah's desperate?

He could probably coach Eddie... in the art of man-management. Ewen was always the better manager, Jones is a technical coach.

Why are people surprised that your best back-rower from last season is starting? There's a real possibility Gamble takes Hooper's gold jumper before this World Cup.

Eddie's got his hand's cut out now... the rats are leaving the sinking ship!

We are going back to 2011 - Barnes, Cooper, JOC (James O'Connor), waiting for Eddie to announce Phil Blake as defense coach now. And (just like 2011) these Wallabies will get bundled out in the Semi-Final by the eventual tournament winners (Borthwick's England).

ok then, surely you blokes remember that article nick bishop wrote about his first-hand (albeit brief) experience working with Eddie? while it certainly portrayed Jones as a hard taskmaster (that is already well documented) more alarmingly it painted him as a - slightly more than above...

Eddie's history is such that we don't need to! the evidence is plain to see, bloke is a nightmare to work with.

Fisher was moved on as he is not the type to take BS from Eddie. Podcast 49 gave foresight to a potential issue with Eddie & Laurie and it has come to fruition. You don't let well credentialed & respected coaches like Laurie go unless you can't work together.

It's still not clear if they are keeping du-Plessis on. I would bring in Palmer.

Darren Coleman is a backs coach, he's a great option to could replace Wisemantel I reckon. Phil Blake is a former leaguey - Eddie might look at him as an option - you fellas remember how strong the Wallabies defense was under him?
