    Melbourne Rebels 2024

The comments about no players contracted beyond 2025 are ridiculous. Two-year contracts are the most common amongst Super Rugby teams. Hodge was an exception (I think he signed for four more years in 2017).

True, you couldn’t have internationals and finals running in parallel.

Couldn’t agree more, Kev, the season is ridiculously short. SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) is more an exhibition series than a full on competition. A full home and away would give us 22 rounds plus a bye for each team in the middle like AFL to make it a 23 or 24 round regular season. This would also force teams into using...

I’m looking forward to the 2024 SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) season. Watch me some Rugby. Remember that game?

I’ve been over to Perth for several games post-2017 and have not experienced any animosity from Force fans whatsoever. Nothing more than usual friendly banter between opposing fans during the games.

Or you alternate 4/3 3/4 each year. Season is too short anyway. Regardless of any merger chat, the season needs extending.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Look, if all of this is true then that is quite bad, but what shits me is the schadenfreude shown by apparent Australian Rugby “fans”. No wonder the game in our country is at such a low point when people want sides to fail. Really? You want that for your game? When our team are playing one of...

Congratulations, that is the 50th* time you’ve used the words “poor governance “. * May not be 50.

They say it is ticketed members and not supporter or pet memberships. Can’t verify that, though.

Thank you for your positivity and support of Rugby in Australia.

Paying accommodation for? No, Rebels members put up interstate and international players in their own homes at their own cost. Why? Because we love Rugby in VIC.

Yes, it’s from Panda. You can trust him! Rebels had more members than the Tahs did this last season.

Rugby (and the Rebels) is one of the things I escape to to forget my worries. I don’t want it becoming one of my worries. I went through that in 2017.

I’m sure it will all work itself out.

And here’s me thinking they were a profitable Super Rugby franchise.

Probably the better option. A lot of people don’t like being slugged again for something they feel they have already paid for.

Yes, $10 standard or $13 express. Can’t use credit for postage (like last season).

I have picked my 2024 member merch - both versions (blue and white) of the cap. Didn’t see a need for a scarf or beanie - even in Melbourne the Super Rugby season barely makes it to winter (though handy for away trips to NZ or Canberra).

Happy to see the away Drua v Rebels match on 1 June is at Churchill Park, Lautoka, just a short drive from Nadi. Much easier than getting to Suva, for those interested in an “air trip”.
