Anyone else think that throwing Wight on the scrap heap at this stage may indicate Jorgensen may come into the equation sight-unseen before the RWC. His MCL injury was ~3 months from late May. He is still on the injured list.

Eddie's theory around the 33 man squad is to pick your best 23, then 5 squaddies, and a couple of utilities. Hodge is the best utility we have. They become important when trying to pick a squad of 33.

I think you'll find that there are 4 locks - probably at the expense of one of your backs (19 forwards, 14 backs). Unless, of course, Eddie wants to play Holloway / Hanigan / Leota at lock in an emergency - which I don't think will be the case.

Attitudes like this are why the Kiwis live rent free in our heads. How on earth is Eddie able to motivate a group of players to win the RWC let alone beat the Kiwis if he can't talk about it?
