TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

9 PK against the NZL team so far. I recall that Sir Clive's Soap Dodgers at their prime in the RWC 2003 leadup targeted 10 penalties for the whole game. NZL need to lift their game. Sanchez misses a PK and it is oranges with the score at 24 - 19 top NZL.

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

Sanchez replays with a PK (he is 5/5 so far) to bring the score back to 23 - 19 after 38 minutes.

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

Beaugan Barrett grabs a meat pie off a clever grubber from B Smith. NZL lead 24 - 16 after 37 minutes.

Los Pumas have shown up to play. Something Los Jaguares failed to do for their first go at Super rugby,

    Ideas for NRC

Precedent from way back in 1973 - The Junior NZ team beat the NZ Rugby Team by 14=10. I think the Juniors were Under 23 back then not U21 or U20 as the "Juniors" seem to be nowadays. https://www.odt.co.nz/sport/rugby/rugby-all-black-history-carisbrook

NRC Rnd 2: Brisbane City v Western Sydney Rams

I think there is Hilderbrand (MMM) and Fainga'a (Uni) lurking in the background for the Tahs #2 jumper as well as Paenga-Amosa. This years Gen Blue U20 hookers Moore (Uni), and Craig (Woodies) are notionally the 3rd best at their clubs being behind Lotu, and Fainga'a, and Roach and Fitzpatrick...

    Shute Shield 2017

If true, the loss of @Belly2Blues will be a major setback for growth, or even retention of the status quo in "Sydney's West". Few could compare. Hope he, and his skills, are retained within Rugby ... ... ... somewhere.

Qld Country - official NRC thread

^^^^ All 340 kg of prime Aussie Beef. What is the back story on Jack. Brisbane State High School and Sunnybank Club according to the commentators. He didn't look out of place against NSW Country. Where have you been hiding him until now?

    Sydney Colts - 2017

I wonder if the Gen Blue Selectors are using the ASRU selection criteria, where the teams that came 6th and 7th in the 8 team National Schoolboys tournament get the lions share of the selections. I think Adrian Thompson (AusU20 Coach and Selector) was also the Chairman of the ASRU Selection...

    Worst Commentator Pole Action

Have pity on us. We have had him all year in the Shute Shield commentary team.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Could the alleged eye gouging be a trick of the camera angles, like Hooper allegedly throwing sand at the Soap Dodgers in Melbourne? Looked worthy of further investigation based on the angles they showed during the half time break, but often things are not always what they seem to be.

Have you asked the club/club coaches if they nominated those players for consideration?

    Sydney Colts - 2017

Because of the chronological nature of each years u20s, the World Championships thread covers the pre season, state team selections, the Curtain Raiser Cup, the Oceania Tournament, 6N U20 championships and the U20 World championships. Would be nice to have a U19 NRC as well but where is the...

GAGR MOTM - AUS v NZL, Wellington, 27 August 2017

It is going to be hard for some, but the GAGR Player of the Year is one of the most respected popularly voted awards in all of Rugbydom. 3-2-1s please people, when you've figured it out. No match discussion. Leave that for the match thread.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

The pain is over. NZL far better prepared and executed with accuracy that was not evident from the Men in Gold. Roll on 2018 Bledisloe Cup. We're rebuilding. Leave the Pensioners in France next time.
