    QLD Premier Rugby 2014

I think the cup is only up for grabs at Yoku Rd. His photo and jersey are up inside the Uni clubhouse for all to see and toast to.

I think McDuling will be a massive out for Uni - when he plays the whole forward pack plays better. I also don't think Easts did Uni any favours by stealing the draw on the weekend because I'd think GPS would be hurting after that one. I am glad to see a fair few players return after the break...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2014

For years people took the piss out of me for taking warm blankets and spare jackets to a sunny game. I noted the particularly mean ones and rebuffed them when they inevitably came looking to suck up to me between 4:15 and 4:30. ;)

Coldest place in Brisbane HAS to be Yoku Rd after the sun goes behind that hill though, Filth

Taulagi is signed to end of 2015.

Owen and JJ don't have a game in the afternoon to rush home for TT. Also, not sure why I was singled out in your naming post - I'm sure each club has their own naming system for teams, and if that's how you refer to them at Easts, that's great. But for consistency - and so we can be clear on...

I've often thought reserve grade premierships are the hardest to win- the side is surely the least stable in ANY club, unless finals are out of reach for both Prem grade and 1st grade (formerly known as 2nd grade).

Let's just say veterans of the Premier grade comp will recognise more than a few faces in Norths 2nd grade, Filth.

HJ - THAT IS HOW YOU WRITE A MATCH REPORT! Nice one! Thanks!

2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

Oh my favourite humanoid robot writer is back. I've missed you, you verbose bastard! Do mean victory? And let's split this sentence in to two logical parts while we're going. The impressive five tries to one victory was the perfect start for a two-game series against Samoa. The second match...

Confirmed - Harry is playing 12. Agree that converting backrowers to centres has worked well, but it's usually done in colts, not when they're 25-ish. Still, he'll go well there and will certainly add some starch to the backline defense.

I'm looking forward to finding out if the team listed for Uni is actually the team. If so, it has Henry Elliott (aka Harry) listed to play in the centres rather than his customary back-row. Or maybe there's another Henry Elliott... :)

Broke his arm SFR - had surgery to insert a plate.

The Uni v Norths score was actually 62-22 or so. I might have missed a conversion.

    Reds 2014

Expect the completely unexpected. Spectators at the Uni v GPS game at GPS last year may recall the game he had - an intercept try where he stepped three sets of defenders, a cross-field kick just before halfway that looked like a total brain explosion until the winger stormed on to it and ran...

No, more along the Gill lines- not the biggest hitter in defence (although still very effective) but he seems to get a hell of a lot of pilfered turnovers without giving away many penalties at all. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

I'm sure it was, and I didn't mean my post to sound flippant, so much as he was optimistic and moving on. He indicated that if he were to try to be ready for the U20's camp it'd be a huge push. As for whether he'll make it back in to the Premier side- I have absolutely no doubt he'll be back...

Back injury- he'll be back in time for the U20s camp, but 20s isn't really a priority for him, so I think he's scratched it, instead planning on focussing on getting a good club season under his belt. What will be left of it anyway.
