    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

OK, I'll start, first round coming up. My tips for the weekend. Souths over Norths. In the battle of the birds, Souths will have to much physicality for Norths. Expect Norths to be the big improvers this season, but unfortunately for them, everybody else has also moved up a gear. UQ over...

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how Whiteside et al handle playing Reggies for the back half of the season. Might be some mid season moves, or Wests be a shoe in for the finals in 2nd and 3rd grade

    Reds 2023

Would of thought Joshua Mongard would of been on the Reds radar, but he's left Norths for the Western Force Academy. Still had 2 years of colts rugby.

Good to see Tate back, Who's going to be the back up Jeans or Kalani? I'd like to see Spencer get the nod, but I'm bias as hell

    QLD Colts 2022

Quite a few players from that 20/21 cohort have flown under the radar somewhat. They should start making their mark in Prem grade over this season and next.

I think he was the Red's MVP. Outstanding Job.

Super Rugby Rnd 2: Waratahs v Reds AKA The 2022 Festival of Hate.

Good win by the reds. But perplexed about the Tah's not taking the easy points in the first half when it was bucketing down.

What's your figure then? That 90% do? Have a look at the churn (outside of Thorn's group that he has taken through from the U18s.) I'll stick to 3 or 4 making it to the Reds from the academy each year. The vast majority don't.

They are currently contracted, so I guess they are already a professional rugby players. Whether they have a long and successful career who knows. But from what I've seen of them to date there's others in their respective clubs that should be ahead of them in the pecking order for playing Prems...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

Are the clubs at fault for not playing them in 1st Grade given their academy status or is the Academy at fault for contracting them? Neither. The Reds are a professional club who are trying to develop and tie up talent to meet their future needs, they are not a representative team of the best...

If you are correct, I'm not sure how Whiteside, Dobbins and co would feel about playing 2nd Grade intermittently. Greener pastures for them? Norths could do with a bolster. But in all seriousness, it's a fine line between winning titles and hollowing out the club.
