    Wallabies 2023

Hope we don’t get Berry in a game. The worst Aussie referee by a mile. If a law is broken, Berry will blow his whistle. A very poor referee imho. https://www.rugby.com.au/news/berry-gardner-amongst-four-aussies-selected-for-rugby-world-cup-2023-match-official-team-2023510

Not sure if that counts as ‘versatility’ at Test level, and I’m guessing you didn’t mean it that way.

R12: Waratahs vs Rebels - Saturday 13 May

The Rebels attack well but can they play the full 80? If the Tahs can hold the ball for more than 3 phases in contact, we are a chance. Along with getting the ball wide to the wings and getting the ball to Jorgensen. Not sure if Coleman’s insistence of kicking ball down field and getting...

I would suspect Eddie will give Carter Gordon a go in the first Test against South Africa off the bench with Foley to start. Donaldson hasn’t played as well as last year, however Coleman’s game plan hasn’t helped him. If Ryan Lonergan comes on with Gordon, he can goal kick?

Well based on those statistics it shows that they aren’t always what gets someone in a side. Wilson is a good player no doubt and I’m not sure what else he has to do to get back in the RWC mix?

Interesting, however Edd I sure hope Cooper is ok by then… will have had no Tests under his belt and his injury I suspect won’t make him super confident having a dash mid game? Don’t think they will pick Foley and Cooper. Hooper and McReight will definitely be there.

    Rebels v Brumbies 2.35pm 07/05

Carter is ahead of Lolesio on form so far this season and it would be unfortunate to see him out, although from what I saw he would have had to be slightly concussed from the late hit?

He’ll be in the 23 for sure.

    Week 10 - Waratahs vs Highlanders - Friday 7.35pm

Yes… he’s very good. Agree on the ‘red lid’ …. Maybe in the under 7’s, not at this level. Aren’t you apart of a team? Harry Wilson and Fraser McReight do it too. Harry Wilson even has HW on his in some design… Wallaby level they should all wear green or gold ones imho.

Wright has speed and x factor …. I think he is bloody great. Despite what some critics say, he’s a Wallaby for a reason.

    Week 10 - Waratahs vs Highlanders - Friday 7.35pm

Well I agree with the attack being less than ideal. However Coleman is head coach and the way they are playing is how he wants it. The kicking down field constantly is the plan. The playing off 9 and getting forwards hitting it up, is part of the game plan. It stifles the backline’s ability to...

Blues vs Waratahs, Sat Apr 22 Eden Park. RD 9

True with regard to Smith…. but he is a big cut above White and Jake Gordon imho. Lolesio plays second fiddle to White and to me loses out on backline organisation skills … same at Tahs for Donaldson and Edmed. The Rebels just need to improve their defence but are the best team to watch in attack.

    Rebels v Crusaders 21/04/23

A great referee is always looking for a reason NOT to penalise a team in my book, unless it is blatent. To keep game flowing should be the goal. A referee could blow a thousand penalties every game if they followed every little slight infringement, however that is not in the spirit of the game...

Blues vs Waratahs, Sat Apr 22 Eden Park. RD 9

With regard to Coleman, I think the Waratah’s game plan is poor. Up until last night the defence has been quite good however the attack is where it is not happening. I put that down to playing too much off 9 and having too many forwards hitting it up before the 10 gets it. That's if the ball is...
