When Wessels and the Rebels parted ways, the Rebels did a "worldwide" search and found the best person for the job was the person in the office next door. Surely Foote was part of the problem. Then last season when Foote was re-signed we had a horrible record. Both signings were perplexing to me.

It is funny, there is often talk in the media how there is generally more interest in Aussie derbies (crowds and TV audience). That has never been the case in Melbourne we have usually had better crowds for matches v NZ because a lot of the Kiwis living in Melbourne want to come and watch the NZ...
