    Hurricanes v Brumbies

Even worse! I know the Brumbies fans leave at 4:55pm on the dot, but would be pushing it to be infront of the tv in time!!

    Hurricanes v Brumbies

5:30pm kick offs especially on a Friday are stupid. Even with the shift of people WFH, being able to sit in front of the tv for a lot of us at this time is limited due to; getting home from work, dinner, going to the pub with mates, Friday night kids training (club rugby for kids is Friday night)

    Queensland Reds 2024

I understand what you're trying to prove. At the same time, having both Pone and Taniela there means, you've got two props the same age. They'll both look to finish their careers roughly the same time, meaning no young tight head will develop down there as they simply don't get game time...

    Queensland Reds 2024

No reason why the Rebels can't develop a junior tight head to play alongside Taniela either. Or is that the responsibility and cost for other states to do?

    Queensland Reds 2024

Agreed, especially when LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) was being played at 6. It's the closest to the argument 7137 was trying to make. We had a similar argument last year before Stewart went to the force, that the reds were stock piling centres; Hunter, Stewart, Henry and Flook. But posters didn't realise how injury...

    Queensland Reds 2024

Depends on whether they want to be strict or relaxed about it. All contracts in Australia require a three way sign off; player, club and RA. Using the above examples; If the Rebels wanted to bring Taniela down to the Rebels, RA would need to sign off on it. I'm sure they could then have a...

Jordan and Pone in particular raise interesting questions on the whole centralised contracting model that's been touted as a goal for RA. With Taniela going south, surely RA wants Pone to be playing consistent rugby and would step in to ensure Pone lands at a club where this would happen?

    Queensland Reds 2024

If my memory serves me, we had Will playing with us till 2015 and Tate was part of the 2018 squad (duking it out with Tuttle and Moses). Frisby had his moments during that time as well, just not consistently.

The kid is 21 years old though? There wouldn't be many scrum halves who would join the Reds knowing they'll be second fiddle to Tate. When you compare all the scrum halves we've had in perhaps the last 6-8 years (Frisby, Tuttle, Moses, Tata, Khalani, Spencer). I'd dare say we've come out on top?

    Wallabies 2023

To be fair, Eddie's co-host turned it from a 'podcast' to just a weekly interview with Eddie. I never found it to be conversational, more Eddie just replying to questions. You'd be better off getting Eddie to chat to Turuni or Kimber. I think that'd be a more engaging 30-40 minutes.

Half the bars being closed didn't help either!!

    Moana v Reds 14/4

Surely those questions were asked by NZRU when Moana sent through their prospectus to join the competition? Given how long Moana have been forced to play in Auckland, it's concerning how much or little support they're getting especially compared to the Drua.

    Moana v Reds 14/4

Feels like that's on Moana to solve no? Every other club has to have extra buses and staff running on game night.

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

From a fan engagement, the emphasis on the Wallabies is hugely detrimental. Out of those 15 games, you'd be lucky to actually see more than 1 game in your home city. While the Wallabies A's are great for player development, they're shit for home fans.

    Reds 2023

    Lloyd Johansen's headhunting tackle on Stirling Mortlock in 07 at Suncorp, from memory it was the game where the Brumbies won 6-3 or something stupid. Even had Eddie as our Coach;

Ever done a winter in Brisbane Slim? Not many better places to live, especially one in Canberra or the UK.

    Queensland Reds 2024

I think appointing Heenan to HC right now would be the worst thing for both he and the Reds. He's got a wealth of experience at QPR, but let the guy get his feet steady at Super Rugby before throwing him completley in the deep end. The only way it works with Heenan as HC are some truly...

    Round 7: Reds v Brumbies - Friday April 7 @ Suncorp 7:35pm

Considering he's always injured, are we forever going to let this be an excuse? The whattaboutisms are a tad boring when 90% of the team is poor.
