    Shute Shield 2023

Does Sua'ali'i really affect the fly-half position? Seems to me that Perese or Pietch has to look at other options, which is pretty sad as they have both been performing great in recent games.

    Shute Shield 2023

True, i actually haven't seen him play at 10 but i've heard that he was above both Edmed and Donaldson. He can play other positions like Full-back right?

    Shute Shield 2023

He started at 10 because Donaldson was at full-back (beale situation) and Jorgensen hadn't yet moved to full-back until Edmed got injured. Aside from that, Donaldson also got selected for the wallabies squad over Edmed last year. Also, my point still stands? It's clear that Bowen is eventually...

    Wallabies 2023

Aside from Raw talent, Gordon's body language is just so much more electric than both Noah and Donaldson's. Seems like he actually enjoys playing.

    Shute Shield 2023

Yes! He needs a go at 12. This way we can bring in Bowen and if Goddard heads over to the brumbies Wilson gets pushed up. There is no benefit for Edmed to stay at the tahs and play fly-half when he's already competed with Donaldson and lost (in terms of selections).

    Rebels v Brumbies 2.35pm 07/05

Hodge needs to prove he's worthy of being in the wallabies backline in these last few games, he has been pretty average on both attack and defense which is such a crucial role if you're going to play outside center.

    Rebels v Brumbies 2.35pm 07/05

I was going to mention this actually, IF hodge is leaving as i heard some people say, it will be the perfect gateway for Gordon to take conversions. If not, then who knows what the Rebels will do. Other than Nic white, can anyone else in the wallaby backs consistently take conversions? (assuming...

    NSW AAGPS 2023

Well since the 3rd xv don't have a premiership to fight for, it allows the rugby staff at Newington to spend more time on developing the first and second teams. If Newington were competing in the 3rd xv next year, they would field a much stronger side to the team this year, as the students will...

To say it was all support play is such a stretch. He was found in the right position at the right time to score 2 great tries.

Newington don't compete in the thirds competition. Also, few 2nds players moved up to play firsts, and i believe a handful of boys were used as fresh substitutions for the firsts game, which now isn't allowed and will require these boys to play the team below.

I'd 100% consider Rodwell as the fullback for GPS 1's. He was the best player on the pitch and completely outclassed poynton.

    Shute Shield 2023

I do agree with the comments about playing 80 minutes at club level, it's clearly improving Bowen and Wilson's game. Leahy from UNI also had a great debut with a try. Was interesting seeing Fowler play 20 minutes for 1st grade, as the commentators have said, he will improve and gain more...

    CAS Rugby 2023

I love these completely 1 sided comparisons. Newington have also been experimenting (and lost their star scrum half Koby Owen due to an ACL injury earlier this year), the same way any school does in trial matches. Injuries or not, Waverly got out classed by a talented and well drilled side. The...

    Shute Shield 2023

Yep hes in the western force academy. Already making his shute shield 1st grade debut is a huge achievement. Genuine attacking and defending threat, will be interesting too see when Fowler gets called up for first grade seeing as he's already in the Aus u20s camp. I've heard hes young for his...
