Southern Inland Rugby 2025

the system is uniform across rugby.
I also highly doubt teams are actively trying to run up scores. Rather that be the outcome of the standard disparity in the comp.
Cause and effect here.
Big scores are the effect in my opinion. Not the cause

21 tries 21 conversions conceded. I’m more interested in the future of the Reddies club than the continuing success of last season’s premier. If City are 50 in front at half time it would be good if they somehow gave Albury a bit of encouragement in the 2nd half on the weekend.

Round 10 (SIRU) Preview

Match of the Round
Griffith (3rd - 27pts) v Tumut 4th- 25pts)

This is a big match for both teams with Griffith hosting the Bulls after a hard fought victory over Ag. College last Saturday in Wagga and Tumut going down 31-52 against Wagga City.
In their earlier clash this season at Tumut the Bulls won 19-12 against the Blacks in a very close battle.
The win over Aggies last Saturday and playing on their home ground should prove a big confidence booster to Griffith whilst Tumut hit the road for their longest away trip for the season.
Both teams have plenty to play for as far as semi finals are concerned later on in the competition but I have a strong leaning towards Griffith tomorrow and see them winning by a 10+ margin at the Exies Oval.

Wagga Waratahs ( 2nd - 32pts) v Wagga Ag. College (5th- 19pts)

Earlier this season Waratahs defeated Ag College 39-12 in the annual COL Cup match played at the University.
On that occasion the last 40 minutes saw Waratahs assert their authority over their younger opponents and eventually run out comfortable winners.
Ag. College went down narrowly to Griffith last Saturday and that heart breaking loss puts big pressure on their hopes of playing in this year's Finals commencing on August 16.
Waratahs enjoyed a points scoring frenzy (see earlier posts) against Wagga Reddies last weekend and will be hot favourites to maintain their second place position on the competition ladder.
Waratahs to win this one tomorrow but a desperate Ag College should make things interesting, particularly in the first half and even if they are unsuccessful Aggies will be keen to collect a couple of bonus points on offer so they can stay hot on the heels of Tumut in the race to the finals.

Wagga City (1st -35pts) v Albury (7th-1pt)

City travel down to the border for this game against the hapless Steamers.
This will be a big win for the competition leaders with the main interest unfortunately being the margin of their victory.
Maybe a chat between the 2 coaches at half time would be a common sense factor in the final score line.
Let's see what happens.

Good luck to all teams tomorrow
