It is more likely that team selections for schools 1 & 2, Sydney and Country were judged on merit, based solely on the performance and attitude at the trial games. Gen Blue is a season wide selection.

There is much discussion around identifying talent at a young age and sticking regardless of performance in specific trials. I believe selection methodology has been correct this season for the U16 & U18, the players need to bring there best individual & team oriented performance every time they run out if they hope to be selected.

Iv'e made a thread for the games on the Sunshine Coast to not make this one more of a convoluted mess.

Can Man Stan here,

Any new’s on the return of Hughie Merriman? He was playing a bit of seconds footy as well as making a gps team, now I’ve heard about him playing 3’s and rather luck laster performances.

Quite keen to hear about Oscar Tremlett as well, heard he’s been selected to the nsw schools team however not being in the gps 1s or 2s????? Any news on his recent form and if he is still influenced by his toohey’s sponsorship, and possibly his lack of tolerance for alcohol and his reliance on Centrelink. He has been on and off from the tee but still love to see the school supporting the younger fella.

Darby Daily here,
Rumours circulating..... that a TSC boy by the name of Oscar Tremlett is a Torres Strait Islander? And is therefore eligible for the koori knockout. However im not sure if his partnership with tooheys (last year) will necessarily allow this given his potential risk for injury.
"If you can't get a girl, get a Cranbrook boy." Not a truer word spoken.

What a cracka 20s game that was!

Hopefully shows some people we are clearly up for it and developing juniors, yes the massive loss to springboks but that just came down to not showing up and being ready.
