Now that we have hit the “quarter” season break in Division 1. Time for some wild predictions.

Club Champions- Waverley just to pip Mosman. Running 6 grades every week just too many opportunities for points.
Last place- Drummoyne to take it over Colleagues.

Kentwell- Premiers- Hunters Hill. Top 4 Hunters Hill, Mosman, Mountains & Waverley.
Hunters to finally get the job done after running into the Mountains juggernaut the last few years. Tipping Mosman vs Hunters GF as Mountains having a few stumbles early on.
Burke- Premiers- Drummoyne. Top 4 Hunters Hill, Lindfield, Mountains & Drummoyne.
Drummoyne have had some success so far and will prioritise this grade over Kentwell early on. The others will have there eyes on a bigger prize.
Barbour- Premiers- Hunters Hill. Top 4 Hunters Hill, Newport, Mosman & Drummoyne.
Hunters boys to go back to back. They’ve been dominant so far and baring a exodus to Europe will take on the always strong Newport colts in the GF.
Whiddon- Premiers- Waverley. Top 4 Mosman, Waverley , Lindfield & Mountains.
Waverley continues to dominate to lower Grades and make it 4 in a row here. They could take home Whiddon, Judd, Sutherland and Richardson this year.
Judd- Premiers- Mosman. Top 4 Mosman, Waverley , Lindfield & Mountains.
Mosman to take this one and stop the Waverley 3 peat in this grade. Flip a coin could go either way.
Sutherland- Premiers- Colleagues. Colleagues vs Waverley GF
Hard to see anyone troubling these two in the big game. With limited clubs playing regularly hard to predict the top 4.

This can't be taken seriously. Have you looked at the results? Colleagues have just beaten Mountains 45 to zip in third grade, and you're putting them in the top 4?

It really is a toss up for that last spot. I went with Mountains as they have 4 at home in the back half of the season which is a tough trip in the back end of the year when numbers are tight. Plus i can’t see there colts playing finals which always strengthens 3s.

Realistically I can see Lindfield missing out as there draw isn’t as favourable as the other two.

Time to take on Div 2 with some wild predictions. Up to Round 5 without a week off 1/3 through the season. Had the potential to be a basket case with only 6 teams.

Can’t see any movement from this division next year. Subbies will be hoping to bring up Hills and LCOI to get back to the 8 team comps in Division 1/2.

Club champions- UNSW currently on top of the Cowboy as well. Dominant across the grades and hard to see anyone other than Petersham catching them.
Last Place- Going to go with Briars. Unless they get back to there best in 1s it could be a long year for them.

Barraclough- Premiers- UNSW. Top 4- UNSW, Petersham, Forrest & Briars. It’s already a two horse race with only Briars 7s stars having the potential to trouble the top 2. UNSW to finally take a Barraclough after years of being in the mix.
Stockdale- Premiers- Irish. Top 4- Irish, Petersham, UNSW & Pats. Solid start to the year by the new boys and similar to Drummoyne in Div 1 their 1s not making the finals will only strengthen them.
Robertson- Premiers- St Pats. Top 4- Petersham, UNSW, Burraneer & St Pats. Only a few games so far for Pats this year but they look likely to go back to back in the Robbo. Forrest’s missing colts in the first few weeks mean the table is all over the place.
Blunt- Premiers- St Pats. Top 4- Pats, UNSW, Forrest & Petersham. Initially thought it was Unis to loose but a couple of tight results suggest they may struggle with the back end of the year. Pats to come home strong and take this one.
Richardson- Premiers- Waverley. Top 4 Waverley, UNSW, Briars & St Pats. Barring high grade injuries the Kings of the lower divisions will take this one. UNSW success in the higher grades will stop there usual stack of 4s come finals time but it’s Waves to loose.

Would like to see Subbies reconsider there finals structures in the 6 team comps. It’s already a race between 2 in most grades and the thought that someone could get lucky in a semi and knock out one of the big hitters. There’s 0 reward for finishing top of the table and could be straight out after one shot.

Maybe it could still be 2 weeks of finals with 1st place getting a week off, then 2 v 3 to meet them in the big dance.

This is my preferred option for a 6 team comp. You could sneak into 4th and win it with 2 decent weeks.
Though with the WW week after Rd 15 sides may not want 2 weeks off with no footy before the GF.

This is very much how Epping 1st/2nd grade finished there somewhat tubulant year in 24. Scrape through to finals, beat UNSW, Newport and St Pats.

A Newport old boy told me about how much animosity there was too epping after there major semi loss.
