I really don’t see the relevance.
I also believe that a national club competition will simply destroy both QPR and SS clubs & the respective competitions - which for most of us is the level of rugby that we enjoy most and where we get most of our rugby content.

100 percent all it will lead to is a concentration of talent to the exclusion of the wider comp. you can observe it from the women's comp when the uni sevens comp ran all that Bond and UQ did was use it as a vehicle to hover up talent from the other teams. its human nature.

The Pig Athletic Club have a team entered in the Gold Coast Rugby League Nine's competition this weekend. A couple of really handy QPR players running around and apparently some of the lesser known names in the team are QCup players who are transitioning into QPR for 2025.

I think tickets are about $20 if anyone is keen to see how the boys go and also potentially get assaulted by some ex-rugby league stars. Seriously the team lists and some of the guys running out are a who's who of blokes who've been banned by the NRL, it is pretty funny.

Yeh it will depend how seriously some of the teams take it.

Last year a lot of the teams stacked with former NRL players were probably all there on an all expenses covered Gold Coast holiday weekend and seemed pretty keen to hit the Burleigh Pav disabled toilets after the pool stages and didn't care too much about the second day.

The PAC team are all relatively young athletes and most of them would be into their pre-season camps for a QPR season. If they can handle the 9s style of play, they should do quite well.

I think PAC will be in it to win it where the other pro retired RL guys they’d like to win but rugby league is a different breeding ground when it comes to alcohol fueled fun on a weekend away with YTB,

I believe it is on Kayo. There is some decent funding as the Titans have some involvement in it, I believe.
