    Wallabies v Japan 25 Oct

Gordon got better as the game went on. Some of his early kicks were diabolical and he wasn't quick enough to rucks on a day when he needed to be. I thought his first half was poor. But he gradually got better as the second half went on while those around him got worse and I understand why those...

If you get angry at another player maybe that will lead to indiscipline, but if you are angry at the coach its more likely to manifest as a burning desire to put 100 on his team.

    2025 Bledisloe Cup Series

Just watched Joe Schmidt's pre-game interview on You Tube. He showed a welcome lack of hubris, a clear idea of how he wanted to play this week without detailing his plans and a totally clear-eyed view of how good the new Zealand team were, despite their loss to South Africa last game and how...

    Rugby Championship 2025 : Wallabies v Argentina Rnd 2

He plays a similar style to Paisami but is considerably worse. Total ball hog, and I'm a Waratahs fan.

Hunter Paisami is where the ball goes to die. Outside centre and the wings won't touch the ball all match unless Edmed throws cut-outs

    Women's Rugby

We all know what happens when you fail to do any product development. You end up with a company that looked rich, but loses in the long run to other companies that invest in new products and technologies. Women's Rugby is the same - England invested and improved their product to such an extent...

    Women's Rugby

USA beats Samoa by 60. All we have to do is lose to England by less than 75. Unfortunately, with England's current form this is not a given. Still, advantage Australia I would think.

Unlike the previous drongo. The performance improvement is testimony to selecting consistently and carefully.

Rugby Championship 2025 : South Africa v Australia Round 2

I would assume that this is an injury replacement. Looks like the Boks have the same training issues we do.

    Brumbies v British & Irish Lions - Wednesday, 9 July 8:00pm, Canberra

Full crowd and cold winds = 25,000 cases of frostbite. When its cold the ground is an absolute misery at which to watch rugby.

Wallabies v Fiji, Sunday, 6 July, 1:30pm @ McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle

Not much comment on the standard of the Fijian play. Their second half was top notch and would not look out of place in a 7s final. I'm picking Fiji to give Scotland a touch up this week, I thought they were excellent.

    Queensland Reds v British & Irish Lions - Wednesday, 2 July 8:00pm

Last Lions tour I went to the test in Sydney at the Olympic Stadium. The absolute highlight was the Welshman who broke into song on the train to the ground. He was opera concert-singer good. The atmosphere on the train was electric, one of those memories I'll never forget. It all went downhill...

Rd 1 U20s World Cup - Aust v SA Sunday, 29 June @ Stadio San Michele, Calvisano, 11.30pm AEST

Yes, but this team beat SA just a few months ago and the players were selected from games between state squads. I thought they looked quite good in the preparatory tournament against both NZ and SA. So, how come the 70 point turnaround? Something definitely smells fishy to me, logically this...

Blues v NSW Waratahs Rd 16. Sat May 31, 2025

And this is the way the season ends, not with a bang but a wimper.
