I really struggle to accept that Div 1 clubs won't be affected by ANZAC Day but if they want to press on with Round 1 on 25 April then go ahead. Doesn't mean everyone else needs to follow. Outside of Div 1 I haven't heard of a single club that supports the decision to play on ANZAC Day.

A lot of clubs also run the 2-Up at their sponsor pub and is a great opportunity to give back to sponsors. Farcical decision. I asked it before and but will say it again - were clubs asked?

Have clubs even been asked? Imagine a lot of clubs wouldn’t want to play on ANZAC Day either. Trials in March, Easter long weekend than straight into Round 1 on 11/4.

Whilst I think Newport would be better for another year in Div 1, it's a bit rough on Petersham (Div 2 CC) and/or UNSW (arguably the better performing Div 2 club). Why would Newport get the benefit of promotion following their success in 2024 but not Petersham/UNSW from 2025 - doesn't make sense...

Forgot about the Cowboy Cup - looks like Hunters Hill have secured that for 2025 as UNSW are done. A Kentwell and Burke Cup would go very nicely with that too in the new clubhouse at Boronia!

Would this Kentwell Cup season (to date at least) be the most successful by one team? Can't recall too many undefeated Kentwell teams over the years and the scores they're putting on each week are impressive. Whilst I agree, I think the long-suffering West Harbour will take whatever they can get at this point in time.
