The Redss have played one more game...
The 5 more pilfered he has came from that one extra game last week...
Pretty simple logic...
Yet Gill had still played less minutes....
How's your simple logic going now champ...

My younger brother is a Brumbies supporter and the abuse he copped at Suncorp last year was disgraceful. Some dickhead decided to throw rubbish at him because he had the hide to cheer for his team. Pretty ordinary stuff and the fella was quite lucky my other brother and I did not want to make a scene with women and children around because we both wanted to deck that arsehole.
That's right (approx 10 minutes more per game, not a huge amount)... quite a few other factors involved too...
But as I've said, that when it comes to pilfers the data suggests they're pretty equal in this regard... maybe Gill slightly better?
It should also be noted that we don't have stats for attempted pilfers that have led to penalties for holding on...
Anyways, I think you're being awfully precious about this...
I was simply highlighting the fact that Gill, while excellent at pilfering, is pretty limited in his abilities at this stage...
I wouldn't exactly call him a one trick pony but he doesn't offer anything in terms of ball carries, linking etc.
He's obviously also penalised more than Hooper (quite considerably more) and Pocock because he quite often goes for the pilfer when maybe he shouldn't...
These other elements he'll develop and maybe he'll wind up being #1? Who knows...
But thankfully we've got Pocock and Hooper for the test squad at this stage while Gill can go and lead the Junior team admirably and then come into the test squad later on...
We're blessed for 7's...
In terms of penalties conceded the stats are:
Pocock 15
Gill 6
Hooper 3
And pilfers after Gill's "extra game" (that has him on less minutes than hooper) are:
Gill 15
Hooper 9
Pocock 8
As you said though, those stats don't tell the whole story as they don't include penalties won etc.
I wouldn't have a problem with either of Hooper or Gill being selected - I think they have both been dominant, match-turning players against quality opposition. Great battle.

You have to be trolling again mate.I was simply highlighting the fact that Gill, while excellent at pilfering, is pretty limited in his abilities at this stage...

I wish we were talking about THPs like this.
Every crowd has its clowns and that includes the Reds. I don't think any team can lay claim otherwise.Unfortunately that kind of attitude seemed to be pretty common following that match...
'tis a shame...
Unfortunately every team has their quota of idiots who spoil the viewing experience for the majority. Can't stand the booing but unfortunately it seems to be normal behaviour these days.
I agree with that so strongly Ruggo, foul language upsets me more than booing as I like you still cringe when there is swearing in front of women and kids. Are we getting old???
I'm only 20 and I hate that. I go off at my mates if they use abusive language.I agree with that so strongly Ruggo, foul language upsets me more than booing as I like you still cringe when there is swearing in front of women and kids. Are we getting old???
Yes, I must be a wanker for not wanting to lower myself down to TOCC's level...
I think this is where this discussion will end as I'm not going to get baited into some personal bullshit..........
In the meantime gaggers article on the front page is a good read on the subject.
