We have a problem with who is good and who isn't. One week we can point to 5 or 6 players not going well and the following game it is a different group going poorly. How the hell do you build a team with that dichotomy?Yeah they are all playing really well...

Might be the most words ever used to say absolutely nothingDo I think Edmed and non specified others are playing the house down, in response to another poster’s wild critique of another player and his bizarre assertion about its effect on the playing group?
Maybe you need to go back to asking more pertinent questions, like why is Tom Lynagh not playing this week? And why is it that he’s been in England and… Italy?

7!I'm very impressed with young Ted Wilson in the Waratahs, and James Martens in the Reds.
Both have well credentialed rugby fathers. Ted is the son of David Wilson, the wallaby No 6, and James' dad is Hentie Martens, a Springbok No 9.
I can see them both rivalling each other for the gold jersey into the future.
I saw on another rugby blog that our win percentage when Gordon starts is in the teens under Schmidt and that it is over 50% when he does not start? Not sure of the source.

Food for thought. I’d guess that Lonergen is the most similar option to White and that Tate walks back into the 23 when fit. There are also a couple of young blokes at home playing 9 that look ready to push through. It makes sense to give Lonergen a start this week with Gordon at 10 with the former kicking for goal.
Under Schmidt:
- Gordon 16 starts for 5 wins @ 31%
- White 8 starts for 4 wins @ 50%
- Tate 3 starts for 2 wins @ 67%
- non-Jake 11 starts for 6 wins @ 55%
Our overall win rate under Joe is about 41%, so Jake underperforming but then again Joe seems to revert to him for the 'big games', so losses more likely.
the Melbourne Lions Test? We won 99.99% of that game.Looking at the games we have lost with him, Italy is the only game I would considered we had a chance in

As above - we are getting blown away in the last 10 / 15 mins fairly often at the moment, and often that'd be after the starting 9 leaves the fieldLooking at the games we have lost with him, Italy is the only game I would considered we had a chance in

Someone smart setup a Points for and against while on the field database for every international player
Angus Grover this year's aussie 18s captain is superior to both Teddy Wilson and Martens, he would also already be a better bet than Lonergen & Kalanai Thomas. I'll go the early crow and suggest we might see Angus Grover at RWC 2027.I'm very impressed with young Ted Wilson in the Waratahs, and James Martens in the Reds.
