I think there's honestly a case for a shift in thinking in Premier Rugby: 3 Grades + Colts U20 + Colts U19 model, but of course that will get the 9-10 team clubs screeching.

Would support subbies only. Brisbane comp runs 6 grades and bugger all subbies

It might not even support Subbies TBH. The campaign that many Premier clubs have run against Subbies aka Operation Mickey Mouse probably makes most players believe there isn't any option other than sitting on the 5th Grade bench, having parted with your money.

I'm thinking more about the noticeable erosion of several clubs below 3rd Grade, and wondering how feasible it is for the haves to keep warehousing players. One day there will simply be no viable opposition. I also think that having the whole club play in the same location would be a boost.

Similarly, Subbies is going to struggle with the challenge of fitting 5th Grade into a day that already has 4 Grades + Colts + a growing Womens competition.

It's called the pfitzy campaign because the Renegades can't field a 3rd grade somehow it's Eastwood's fault. 7 or 8 of the clubs can field fifth grades no point distributing players to clubs who these players don't want to play for.

They should add another grade as players disappear after colts of which most clubs field 3 to 4 and somehow clubs are only fielding four grades.

Gordon have made some announcements this weekend:

1st Grade Head Coach - David Telfer (already announced)
1st Grade Assistant Coach - Tim Bennetts
1st Grade Assistant Coach - Riley Carter
Top Squad Skills - Pete Smith
Top Squad Scrum - Ofa Fainga'anuku
2nd Grade Assistant Coach - Mick West

Director of Rugby - Josh Mitchell
Head of Performance - Lachlan MacKinnon

As an Eastwood supporter it is interesting to see the ex Woodies joining David Telfer at Gordon.

Is Losi getting moved sideways?

I think this is leadership from a different angle. Taking on a crucial difficult role. Easy to be 1st grade coach and forget the rest of the club.

Yeh, Eastwood sack their Coach. A bloke who brought a LOT of players to the club 5 years ago, from Gordon. He goes back to Gordon. So naturally those players are considering going back with him.

So Eastwood get the Points Cap changed to stop it. It's madness. They sacked their Coach, and the other clubs pay for it.

What's worse, the other clubs agreed to the rule change. Can't make this stuff up

Yeh fair enough. Their Colts have been rubbish forever. Huge job ahead. Hopefully the club, or should I say, RSL Club, throws the same amount of investment into their Colts as they have into their 7s and 1st Grade over the next few years
