That's where we're really missing Wright. As well as Kellaway played, he doesn't have that skill-set, and it really cut down the attacking options. I am a little concerned that the attack is going to be too one-dimensional against NZ. I do think a potential solution is Jorgensen starting at fullback. Those long, looping, Larkham-esque passes could be highly effective floating over to a screaming Toole or a rampaging Potter.

Given we did so well out of the Lions tour this really is the cream on top isn’t it? Ticket sales and plus I am sure the qld and WA govt paid big bucks to get games in Townsville and Perth respectively.

We haven't actually won anything yet.

Obviously seeing improvements but the records will show we still lost the Lions series. Per usual - it's going to come down to how we play against NZ and whether we can knock them off to grab TRC and the Bledisloe. Even the most repugnant rugby detractors can't spray the Wallabies if we bring home some tangible silverware.

Wallabies are 4-3 this year. Went 6-7 last year. Be silly to proclaim them fixed but they seem to be steadily improving.

8 Tests left for the year and I reckon they will go 4-4 but I'm hopeful of 5-3 and finish 2025 with a 9-6 record which would be huge given their position at the end of 2023.

When I say thay are 'fixed' (note the inverted commas) it is more that the structure, systems, player development, financials, depth and result trajectory are all heading in the right direction. I am not saying we are world beaters - rather I think the majority of our problems have been identified and are in the process of being, or have been 'fixed'. Time will tell.

We are probably a certain to win Italy and Japan, so worst case we will end of the year 6-10 which would be a terrible result. 10-6 would probably be best case, but I hope I am wrong. That would require us to beat ARG and one of the NZ games plus 2 of England, Ireland and France.

Anyway - we now need to 'fix' supe.

I think the Wallabies can carry momentum into a sold out Sydney and the Argies have been on the road a while now. I reckon the Wallabies can split the NZ games. That's 2 wins and then I'd pencil in Japan and most likely Italy but they have a fiesty pack. I'm backing them to win 1 of the 3. They won at Twiks last year and surprised us so why not Ireland potentially. Only went down by 3 last time right?

Teams now have a bit of pressure with Aus riding an up wave with still not huge pressure being a rising side as opposed to top sides with massive expectation to take care of business.

Any loss to Argentina this weekend sees us trade places with them into 7th.

Any win against France/Ireland will have us take their place potentially as high as 4th.

Or the easy route: win the next 3 big, Argies, NZ, NZ and we'd be top ranked team. Simples.

Yeah easily. Winning the Bled is probably harder than winning the RWC.

You might get some Aussies and a few Irish making the argument, but no way will SA or NZ fans agree with it.

Rassie hasn't ever beaten the All Blacks twice in a calendar year with one of those wins coming in NZ though.

I think only Ireland have done this in close to the last 20 years.

GOAT status needs to be pretty much universally accepted, and too many northerners would disregard how highly we hold the Bled and also would be ready to point out he lost a Lions tour.

I think in rugby world - the RWC is the glue which would bind and solidify any GOAT status being approved and he won't have it with the Wobs.

If we look at the NZ matchup - Kellaway loses his battle to Will Jordan. I think Wright was probably closer to Jordan this season form wise.

But I don't think moving a key attacking weapon in Jorgo to fullback is the answer either. All you're doing is weakening his best attributes by giving him more responsibility in terms of positional play.

Everyone thinks Jorgo is killing it, and he is. But its despite minimal involvement. most of his stuff is off turnover ball or kick returns. I think that try against SA at Ellis Park was one of the few occasions he saw early phase ball.

Moving him to fullback will only increase his opportunities for contributions and ultimately value to the team. He is also a natural 15, so he will find it easier influencing games from there.

id have AK (Andrew Kellaway) on the bench as 23 (great value covering multiple positions) and then Daugunu or Potter on the wing (or Pietsch in time)

They lost by 5 to Ireland and were peaking at the right time coming in with the record win v NZ and 2nd biggest win ever v Wales (largest away win) in the warm up's
