ISA 2025

could you make one for the black ⬛️ pool please?
The problem is how do you treat Term 3 Rd 2. Did Aloys forfeit against someone (and if so who? and elect to play Chev instead.
Was Kinross Stannies a bonus game that doesn't count (which would be a bit unfair to Kinross) or do you average the results across the T2 and T3 games?

Ideally Term 3 would be four weeks with each of the CAS teams playing four games, and each of the ISA teams three with a bye. Then all teams would have played six games against each other.
But I suspect timing doesn't work without a lot of juggling with the ISA semis and finals.

Ok so I have a CASISA Black table here but as much as I would have taken the Red table with a grain of salt, I think you'll need the whole shaker here!

A few notes:
1) I still don't have Pius/Cranbrook results other than 1XV and will update if and when I can find them. I'm assuming that Pius wouldn't have fielded a 15a team against Cranbrook as they haven't all year in ISA.
2) The table is based upon weeks 1 and 3 only. My apologies to Chev, Oxley and Aloys as I know your games went ahead in Week 2.
3) I've split the wins of the 13s and 14s Aloys/Kinross fixtures from the round 3
4) A wet weather round in Black has massive ramifications. Pius and Gregs have been impacted the most here.
5) A red figure means a declined game

CASISA Black1XV2XV16151413Total:
Trinity66464632
Kinross44442422
Cranbrook (missing rd 3 results)63361322
Aloys24244218
Stannies22426218
Gregs31313314
Pius (missing rd 3 results)101
Chev/Oxley

What to make of these results?

Well given the washouts and odd numbered competition format, I don't feel it fair to pass judgement on each schools program. Pius and Gregs have really copped the short end of the stick here but given the structure and the rain, it can't be helped.

Whilst I'm still missing results from Carnbrook/Pius, it's reasonable to suggest that Cranbrook would have won a game or two more and this would see them neck and neck with Trinity for first place and this wouldn't come as a surprise. What is pleasing to see is Kinross finishing in 2nd/3rdish place. The tyranny of distance makes running a Rugby program a real challenge out there and they seem to accept it week in week out without complaint. Congrats to them on this result.

To be hoonest i thought ISA would be abit stronger in this competition but they put up a good fight.Well done to all teams
Were you referring to the Black Division or both Red and Black?

I think with the Black group, for next time they may need to (I may need to!) calculate it based upon win average. As there are 4 ISA teams and 3 CAS teams, the ISA teams have to deal with the disadvantage of having a BYE.

To be honest though, with this group, I'm far more in the "putting like for like games on" camp than having some sort of Black Division Champion. Aloys heading off to play Chev and Oxley is a good example of this.

Did Chev/ Oxley compete in Term 2 in ISA, or just to fill in schedule blanks.
They played as a combined entity with Gregs. So if you were scheduled to play Gregs on a weekend, in the lower grades you would probably come up against Chev or Oxley. Given the reasonably close geographic locale of all three schools, it would have made scheduling (particularly for the larger programs) a lot easier. I believe it was the same with Kinross and Scots All Saints as well

Kinross seems to have 8 teams playing:
2nd XV
3rd XV
4th XV
16B's
15A's
14B's
13A's
13B's
By the looks of the draw they seem to be playing across Stannies, Scots All Saints and Bathurst Bulldog's

Nearly every team from every school has a match. The above post only references those who have earned he chance to play for GF berth's by Placing 1-4 following the conclusion of the regular season. (In the event the competition eg 16A had 7 teams the 7th placed team does not play this weekend)
Also note as referenced above the 'plate finals' 5 vs 6 play a friendly of sorts

Yes many venues in use due to all ISA schools bringing the majority of their teams.

Right, my apologies, that that was for all games

Ok had a go.
Basically ignored Term 3, Rd 2 (sorry Kinross), and gave Aloys the win on the injury game.
Ex represents games not played (either washed out or not scheduled).

Same simple 2 pt win, 1 draw/ washout, 0 loss
Percentage represents a percent of max points for that school. So Trinity is 40/ (12*4).

In the IAS mid-pack Pius and Stannies probably disadvantaged by not playing Aloys.
