If JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) is fit to play against Lions why don't you put on some weight with Kerevi and Koroibete??? Australia don't have a wrecking ball in the backline
Marika dosent deserve to be picked was poor in 2023 and last year and Potter, Jorgensen, Daungunu, Toole, Pietsch and Kellaway are now better, he also wasn't on the 2024 EOYT/Fiji squad

Problem is Kerevi has no chance to prove himself. Is he training with anyone whilst here?
At least Koribete, Samu, BPA, Lukhan etc could dominate tomorrow and find themselves potentially added to the squad

There is an interview with O’Connor where he talks about he & Kerevi training with the Reds guys so as to be ready to go if they got a call up.

Valetini would be a hammer blow. Wallabies need that ball runner and defensive starch. If he wasn't right I guess it's Gleeson to play 6? or is CdC more likely? I'm not concerned about the linout. Wilson gets up well and Gleeson can as do it as the other option.

If Skelton isn't fit do we think LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) gets the call for the big body in the middle and goes straight in.

I think he'd get called up but knowing Schmidt I doubt he'd do go straight in to start

Yeah, if Valetini is out it's Gleeson straight in, though I'd guess Hooper will also be in consideration, particularly if Skelton is starting. I'm not sure CdC would factor without another backrow injury.

It's probably Hooper straight onto the bench for Skelton as it was for Fiji, though I'm guessing Canham getting added to the squad was partially as Skelton cover. He's a different player but given lock was the only unforced change to the squad it seems likely Schmidt was looking to improve his coverage for an injured Skelton.

Yep really interested to see what he does with Skelton. Schmidt has been really consistent with his selections so starting Skelton and splitting up Frost/Williams would be a big call.
It also means we probably need a 6/2 bench.
I think the fact Skelton has been carrying an injury means Joe will leave him out and see how we go in first test
Valetini better be right to go though, need him and Bell to start for go forward

Actually I guess you could have a 5/3 split with Skelton and Hooper your reserve second row/backrow I just think Joe likes idea of having Tizzano there for last 20 when lions are expected to step it up

Could make a case for Gleeson being able to come on for the last 20 and ramp it up on both sides of the ball. Theres a guy that will go after the 10 and chase kicks to put the back 3 under pressure. I'm going to keep leaning into the path of the Wallabies need to send as many shots back at the Lions as they'll fire. I don't see our squad having the ability to score 15 and hold them to 12.
