Lions Tour 2025

I mean, would the rebels go much better?
I don’t think it’s about the W’s and L’s anyways. Drua would be very physical and have more cohesion than the First Nations / Pasifica team that’s being assembled.

here’s my (probably too) optimistic take on the two teams:

Probably looks like the ANZAC team will be filled by those from the Wallabies and All Black squads not required for match day, plus the odd marquee player (though looking less likely). So probably won’t see a team announced for a couple more weeks. Should be a strong squad, particularly if we can nab some of the Kiwis who would be in any other international squad!

You’d hope for the First Nation/pasifika game, you’d be looking at Beale, Muirhead, Reilly, Goddard, Pietsch if not in the wallabies, then if they want wider squad for the ANZAC game maybe those who missed out on the squad? So could LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), URU, BPA be there? Start filtering through other players from the four Oz sides and Drua/Moana, it might be an alright team

I thought Argentina were great value for their victory last night. They play a very entertaining, attacking brand of footy, especially on counter attack.

The midfield for the Lions was big and will be a handful, but they weren't really in sync at times. I'd like for us to give Sione a bit back too and get right up in his face. He loves going the gob, particularly against the Wallabies and smashing him off his game would really help us win the series.
