No LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is a bizarre one IMO. Surely that means he has every intention of playing Skelton? LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) the only other lock with that kind of physical impact.

Sources have told The Roar that a couple of those calls were to Salakaia-Loto and Paenga-Amosa, who missed much of the second half of the Super Rugby season due to injury.

Both men could still take on the Lions, but will want to make a statement when their respective Super Rugby sides, the Reds and Western Force, host the famed touring party in the first week of their campaign.

I am normally one of the first to push the case for Force players to be included but I would agree that BPA has not done enough to be included (due to injury), Dolly had a much better season over here. Hopefully BPA plays next Saturday night and puts his name forward.

Interesting that Wallabies have apparently asked the Force to play Tom Robertson at Loosehead against the Lions. Maybe that is a sign that they are considering having him on the bench to cover both sides, which then might provide some coverage against Tupou being the other bench prop and not lasting when he comes on.

Reds have gone early, articles don't seem to be up yet.

Looks to be mostly the safe options.

No real surprises there really, although I thought they may have wanted to see how Kerevi went against Fiji...

I also didn't think Porecki would make it, but since BPA is out.

So no Kerevi I guess. You'd think hed have to be in this match to be a shout.
Pretty unlikely at this point, but if he gets a call up for the invitational sides he's in with a shot. Ideally he'd sign a super rugby deal tomorrow and get an extra game to show his wares in, but that seems like a stretch.

Where is Samu Kerevi??? Is he unfit???
Just not included. Beyond the aggrandising who could potentially feature - based on what Schmidt has said there's no surprises here. I imagine that players like Kerevi will get a chance to impress in both tour games, potentially JOC (James O'Connor) as well.

You actually have to make it to the breakdown to have a physical impact and Skelton rarely does.

Good to see NCdeC in the squad. I thought he had a particularly effective year at the Force. I am surprised that Lachie Anderson hasn't at least made the wider training squad. I'd have him over Lancaster and pushing for Corey Toole's spot.

I am not at all surprised that BPA has missed out on this squad. He has been far from impressive this year. Best Hookers imo were Faessler, Pollard, Asiata and Lonergan all ahead of BPA. Am surprised at Porecki making it but as an experienced player and former captain I suppose not all that surprising.
