Just another thought here - would teams opt for continuing in training on Saturday to get the K's in the legs or take the chance to recover well?

My 15 year old had a bit of trouble getting out of yardage on the weekend. Great chance to look over some film and get in the ice bath.

Recover and reset!?!? Mate a long weekend bye is a rugby players dream, the only thing that'll need to recover and reset are the player's livers afterwards. Ha!

Amidst the unnecessary upheaval in the chat, sources have pulled through with the fabled Johnson turf. Not much turf left but couple green spots the corners near the south end. Hopefully kings boys can bring some spare grass from the J.S White over to god's country.

On the Joeys 1st vs Joeys 2nds. The comps are very very different. Joeys seconds have not been tested yet. But what they do really well is support the ball carrier. Both New and Kings beat Joeys to the ball most rucks in 1sts. Did not seem to matter where. Slow hard ball going backwards means your 10 will stand deeper.
The other issue for me is the oneness in attack. The tries they are getting are from individual brilliance in the backs rather than manipulating defence. Scots stand a really good chance thursday

I heard the "nic ninths" Played scots 7th's. The game was filled with lots of fights and big hits, but overall view dominated with their very skilled back line which i know alot of the boys are capable enough to play in the higher opens. Special shout out to the scots inside center and the View prop.

Love his work rate and smarts. Has lost a little in his carries (in my opinion) but think that is from doing too much. Like to see him save himself for the odd impact run rather than being a packhorse.

If I recall correct, I believe Fonua wasn't the fittest on the field a season or two ago. Bloke really cut down on his sugar. Wasn't fit enough to run onto the ball at first receiver unfortunately. Glad he's back playing tough footy, kid really worked on himself.
