How have Cranbrook 2nds matched up so far this year, just trying to get the temperature of these Newington sides this year?
Newington is a usual contender. They beat Cranbrook 2's convincingly, although many players were injured in the 1st XV requiring these 2's players to step up. But let me remind you, this is just trials.

To judge the "temperature" of Newington this season wait and see how they go against Riverview this Sat.

I know I'm rather late on this one, didn't have a chance to check out the forums on Mother's Day (hope everyone had a great mothers day), but what was the final score in the Barker v Shore game at Allianz. I saw one clip of Joe Stovold impressively shoving off two Shore defenders, that seems to be one of his strong points in offense, I've seen him do that a couple times before. Would greatly appreciate if anyone could share the final results and / or any other key details. Scrum On!

Thanks ScrummyBear, hope you had a great day, as for the final score, it was 38/19 with barker drawing it out late in the second half. Barker looked poor esspecially in the first half, relying on TJ a little too much, keeping shore in the game.

They’ve been comfortably beaten by every team, although I think Riverview was more dominant against Cranbrook 2nds than Newington was. I believe Riverview also won by about 14 more points.
Just remember, the Cranbrook 2's have been at loss of a full strength team for quite some time. And considering the likes of Chester Mobbs and John Fuller being away on vacation and numerous 1st XV boys being injured meaning a number of 2s players got the call up. Hoping to see them enter the CAS comp, guns blazing, at their full potential.

Cheers guys cheers,

SCRUM ON!

I do have to stay Trinity has looked to have a very strong start to the season this year, which is a bit surprising. They dominated in a cancelled game against Cranbrook, then backed it up the week after and put some points on St Pats. They really be pushing into the top 3 for the CAS, time will tell though.
