Scots may have some changes due to injuries in the pre seasonAny predictions for Scots or Newington's round 1 lineups?
Its incredibly hard at 16 age group and above to play both club and school. It takes it toll on the bodies. The game is much faster than what it was say 10-20 years ago and the bodies bigger, stronger and faster which means the collisions are much more powerful thus they have to pick either school or club, and school gets the nod.I believe that Mosman didn't field a team in the gala trials.
I also heard that Newport have asked for C grade as all their Barker and Auggies star players are no longer playing club rugby.
Sorry to bust your balls Wisemen, although I have heard setbacks up to rounds 7-8? If True could be devastating for the Shore season.Ball park. From around round 4 to 6 from the chatter I've heard.
No, speaking for my son's school who have a proper Rugby program and coached by an ex all black, an ex-super rugby player and an ex Aussie 7s player they generally play all there 15 a side games in term 1 in the lead up to the Ballymore Cup, term 2 is generally a whole heap of 7s tournaments in the Northern Rivers & Gold Coast areas, they have their 15s rep commitments to make the AICES team to play at the NSW Schools tournament @ St Gregs in July i think? Then term 3 is a few more 7s tournaments. They have scheduled in their calendar for "Len Diett" on 11 September I am assuming it is a 1xday most likely 10 a side tournament - there may be 5 or 6 schools who participate.Don't they have Len Diett shield?
This was the man himself who I heard it from. (very optimistic take) but yes it could be as late as then. If he doesn’t want to take any risks he wouldn’t play at all, however if Shore doesn’t have him there chances are very fine.Sorry to bust your balls Wisemen, although I have heard setbacks up to rounds 7-8? If True could be devastating for the Shore season.
Well done
