I am refereeing Cranbrook this Thursday when they play Kings Christian College on the Gold Coast. it will be interesting to see what the Gold Coast schools standard is like compared to a perceived lower ranked CAS team.

and how many football?
unfortunately very hard to tell now that all school announcements are through the school app and tailored to every student's level: takes away the opportunity to engage more broadly (eg students/parents can't see any other teams other than the one their own son is in) :-(

With the half back for Barker being in yr 11 where does that leave Izack Holmes? Will be get any 1stXVgame time this year? Willhe struggle to make 1s next year?

seemingly a trend that more boys enrol in rugby in later years
Also I suspect a function of how big Knox is now in the later years.
My understanding is it's almost 400 boys in Years 11 and 12, making it substantially bigger than other CAS and GPS schools.

Barker is about 350 but approx 1/3 female.

I hear that Knox went undefeated across their NZ tour, including a strong win against Christchurch Boys HS firsts.

Barker, Waves and Knox all seem in top form. Should be a good comp.

Knox momentum promising with 5 games under their belt (albeit against CBHS who didn’t play a few big names in their first hit out of the year).

Nice Waves 1sts undefeated on their tour as well.

Still missing quite a few boys who stayed in Sydney for league, I’m not sure how the season will go if those kids haven’t trained yet and CAS is only two weeks away. Interesting that league takes priority too.
