As i am noticing this forum is becoming quite the discussion board for that of the Sydney Church of England Grammar school, and to be quite frank im not here for it!

If you are not here to read about AAGPS schools other than View, please feel free to join your mates in the Gartlan change sheds and discuss all things Riverview.

At this time Shore are the defending champions and have every right to be excited about season 2025. I am confident that at some stage this season the forum will experience its annual deluge of View boys hyping up their mates, spreading false intel and generally not contributing in the fashion many of us have grown to suspect. The bad news for them is that I have been given moderator powers to napalm any oxygen thieves and their mates. Good luck for the season ahead.

BTW...I am the ceremonial spirit animal of the View nicotine ninths. Great lads.

Yeah they've lost all of the guys in the 1st 8 due to rowing commitments overseas which is disappointing for the rugby program but obviously understandable as it is a very significant personal achievement which should be taken further. The likes of Angus McGrath, Harrison Davis and Monty Hyles would have all comfortably slotted into the program. No Big injuries at the moment but the squad is going to New Zealand in the holidays to play some big schools over there so fingers crossed nothing happens before the start of the season.

Apologies @Joker did not mean any offence and was a meer observation and critique of the current ever progression landscape of the forum and a small insignificant plea for a more diversity. As for the deluge of Riverview pupils who enjoy this Schoolboy forum it is limited to due the sight sadly being blocked by the IT department mid last year. The fun police @Riverview really know how to curb debate.

What you may not be aware of that many, many years ago this was a small corner of the world where fans of AAGPS could discuss the rugby. There were virtually no students. They were found at a nasty little place called Sportal where there was no filter on anything. It was horrendous. It was only when Sportal was shut down in 2017 did students find this place. Since then we have tried to make this forum welcoming as long as the debate and banter do not spoil it for others. Riverview students have a long history of mass spamming this thread (as does most on occasion). But, some of the best contributors have been school boys and you would never know. I welcome everyone here as long as they wish to contribute in a positive, humorous and informative way.

Looking forward to meeting more. I have always respected lads who come up and say hello rather than call out from a distance. Takes courage and class to say hello face to face. No better example than the 2024 View captain, Angus Grover, who came up and sat with me in the stands last season @Joeys. Great lad.

This may be true, but there are a few ( I think 4-5 backs) to come back for Shore over the next few weeks which should sharpen up the backline.

Wouldn't be calling this one too early. Yes Barker have been in impeccable form, but Shore are the reigning AAGPS premiers and as we saw last year, they were able to put together wins when it mattered. Getting to play at Allianz Stadium will be an unreal experience for all involved. Should be a cracking game to watch and hopefully there is a big crowd present.

In 2021 I watched a Joeys v Knox game at Parramatta stadium. Good game with lots of Knox boys in attendance. Joeys won a great game. It was such a shame that year as Joeys had such a gun side and the season was scratched due to COVID.

May I propose that the winners of the AAGPS and the CAS play each other the following year as a trial at venues such as these, attached to a Waratah game, Thoughts?

Funny extra. At the end of the Knox v Joeys game, the team ran over the Joeys boarders who were small in number but loud in voice for a singing of the "Sub Tuum". As they started four Waratahs ran over from their warm up and joined the Joeys players and sang too.

Any updates on Darcy Feilin? He was a standout in the younger age groups sadly shadowed behind the great Grover and made a strong impression with his performances in the 3rd XV last year. Is he currently injured?

May i also add, the Shore boys in this frame have not even seen the pitch this year yet.. the cover boys of Shore rugby haven't played yet, i think that will tell you something about what we have to expect to through the next few weeks from Shore.

Yeah Darcy is an excellent player with a lot of potential but sadly switch codes to AFL this season due to even greater talents in the old 'Ariel ping pong'. Despite this loss Riverview are still very strong in the half back department with Hugh gacitua and Jack Barry who are both very capable halfbacks, neck and neck for the tooheys 9 this year.
