Best night in a long time for a Tah fan. Gutsy win against the competition leaders after a shitshow the weekend before. Plus an absolute all-time try.

Tupou can fuck off though. Bloke was blowing after being on for five minutes while all of his team-mates are out there moving mountains to defend the line. Get the fuck out mate.

What was the call against the Foketi try btw? You get literally no explanation at the ground and it looked for all money a try. They really need to start announcing key decisions like that.

If it was because it might have touched the touch-line as he grounded it... can they just go fuck themselves in the arse with something sharp and let the rest of us have fun?

That shit be try. If that shit isn't try - I don't want to rugby any longer.

Well bloody good game from the Tahs, I would suggest they had a bloody good game plan, and executed it. By geez this is a great super comp (and much as I hate to say it perhaps Rebels going was great for comp?)
On the game, would have been a travesty if Tahs lost almost, I personally thought the try looked ok, and I would be interested to see angle where ball first touched the ground (not the pic above ,that is a split second after), as I thought there had to be clear whatever to overturn it, but Leckie a good NSW man ,so must of thought he saw something, I thought he was looking for lost control of ball when he he called the check on try (didn't think there was any ,just couldn't see why he told ref he was wrong). I also thought the YC could well be a red, and I think MacMillan even may of made hi thoughts known by replacing Wrampling and not letting him come back on? Mind you I don't like RCs anyway as such and said the same when that Brumbies' player dodged one a couple of weeks back.
All in all , a good result for comp etc, and it shows how hard it can be to win away from home!!

Really? couldn't see that at all on the big screen. We were all theorising it must have been considered out.
Yes it was that. On field decision was a try so it was referred to the TMO for evidence to reverse it. After 300 replays and the entire planet saying it was a try every day of the week, the TMO stated it was clearly out.

Would have been a disgrace if the tahs lost that with the shocking decisions.
The crap that some players get yellow cards for and then they put that hit on the same scale, that was a blatant red all day. A deliberate high hit should be treated more harshly than all the accidental ones

Joey Walton is a hard bastard
Walton also appears to talk a lot on the field, I think that helps a lot with the overall structure in defence

I was also shocked at how well Kellaway defended

It is so nice waking up on a Saturday and reflecting on last nights win. Standouts for me was Adamson at 7. He was just everywhere and has a big motor putting in for 80. I thought Dobbins played himself to a standstill. We are getting some depth at hooker now which is great for the longer term. The other standout who has really stepped up to Super rugby level is Walton. He really hit the advantage line hard and was a rock in defense. Wilson and JAS had great games as did Kellaway. I want to leave my final word for Hudson Creighton. He is playing really well. He takes on the line as well as Tom Lynagh, is a bigger body in defense, has a good boot and is really making his outside backs look good. Could he be a wallaby bolter if the next few weeks are good for the Tahs???

View attachment 21468Well they couldn't use this shot!
Not sure that shot is any more conclusive either.

Because it sure doesn't look like he's touching the touch in goal line yet here and is touching the top of the ball (ie. already has downward pressure) over the goal line. Clear and obvious to overturn. Nah.

Also, they should be showing/running to two camera angles in sync and whats with the frame jumps when Leckie's scrubbing, I'm pretty sure the video feed is at higher frames per second.

Great game by the Waratahs, with the scoreline flattering the Chiefs, courtesy of some baffling officiating. Poor old DMac had the worst game I can remember and looked shell shocked.
Great result for the Tahs with try of the season to top it off.

People were saying his scrummaging makes up for it, pretty sure his first scrum he went backwards. (May have been LHP) couldn't tell on the broadcast. But it wasn't like he came on and dominated the scrum (granted a lot was with only 7 men) .

One of my neighbours, who is a Kiwi with pretty good connections, told me that it was pretty obvious to him that DMac just never got into the game "and when he is in that mood he should be hooked".
