NSW AAGPS 2025

The question will be if Bassingthwaite is recovered enough for round 4 will he risk playing schoolboy rugby given he has a contract into the future with the Roosters? Not sure what influence the Roosters would have on that decision as well. Either way, I hope that he gets to play but would expect that if round 4 was his return to play, he will be a little tentative at first

In club rugby at this age, if team decides to go uncontested they must drop a player from the field. Does school rugby follow this same rule?

My understanding was this was put in place to take away the potential benefit of calling uncontested scrums. Additionally if uncontested scrums are called more than twice in a season (might be more than twice, can't quite remember) that team would not be eligible for finals.

Hello forum, Happy new years. I am here to inform everybody about a young man named Gus 'Mudgee mudcrab' Littler. I saw this young man the other day whilst having coffee with my granddaughter at the famous Chicos hunters hill. Gus came up to me and my granddaughter, introduced himself, got her 'snapchat' or whatever that is and then said rizz. anyone know what this means? anywho, gus is a lovely young man who has a dire desire to make the first at joeys. this young man definitely has the potential as he's weighing in at 110kg, benching 180 for 2, squatting 220 for 3 and hang cleaning 120 for 4 along with a 4:22 bronco (according to him). Quite some numbers!!! can't wait to see this young man play!

Baxter at (2) is very likely. IMO the front row could be very different however, only time will really tell. Reardon also in the back row. I don't know enough to comment more on this. As soon as trial games get underway I'll give it another crack...
Any information on the new boy mentioned in the front row - Hamilton?

Hamilton was an integral part of both Shores 3XV and 2XV last year before injury cut his season short. Reports are saying he has beefed up with and is in great shape to dominate the AAGPS. He is a running threat out wide and has an unorthodox offload game. If he can replicate his brothers performances in SHORES 1XV Premiership last year he will be a force to be reckoned with

Excited to see how Baretto performs under the Cerise and Blue. Very promising and dominant player as seen in his matches for the u15 Waratahs. Good luck to the kid and i'm looking forward to see how Joeys will use him!

If Noah Chara can stay fit he will be a real threat to the rest of the GPS. He's been battling injuries over the last season from both Rugby and Basketball. If he stays fit he seriously has a chance at playing in the 1sts or 2nds at Joeys.

Yes I agree! @Joker could we see the possibility of a comeback from the rowing forum ….
Has been discussed. Issues flared up in 2024 when students started to make negative comments on other students, something you all know is a no-no and will get you banned. My hands are full as it is this week dealing with the trolls here in the schools rugby. I have had to swing my hammer few times already today.

I am considering locking down the thread as it is causing more grief than it is worth. One and only warning.

.... I heard lot's of kings boys are going up to opens

I think you're referring to y10 boys playing up then I'm not sure that's entirely accurate. I believe there were plenty of year 10 & 11 boys playing first XV last year, blooding them for a good 2025/26 season. I'm not sure that any of the current year 10 Kings boys will be playing first XV.

THE MAN GROVER

riverview’s rugby faithful are in for a spectacle this season, with Gussy Grover — fresh off a dominant U18 Australia tour — set to tear through the competition like a force of nature. His blistering speed, bone-crunching tackles, and sheer rugby IQ make him less of a player and more of a legend in the making. With Grover leading the charge, the First XV isn’t just aiming for victory — they’re destined for greatness.

What's with the shouting, gus? Don't do it again. Lindommer, mod.
