Seeing Jason O’Connors clips from the weekend made me wonder about how he stacked up against who everyone one has as a shoo-in for the Wallaby 12 spot – Berrick Barnes. Here’s the Reds vice captains edited highlights. There’s no doubt he had a brilliant game, predominantly playing at first receiver, despite wearing 12.

This was just as well because Cooper dropped everything he touched. In this respect the comparison might be a bit unfair, because while O’Connor had Giteau to play off, Barnes was actually making up for Cooper the lead weight.
