3 for the best etc.

Waratahs:-
3. TPN
2. Barnes
1. Mowen

Reds:-
3. Ioane
2. Beau Robinson
1. Toua (sp)

It is a struggle to pick players for the Reds because I feel that they were totally outclassed. I do not recall seeing Simmons or Van having any impact at all, Higginbum, Houston and Horwill were outmuscled and outpaced.

Yes, I know. I'll do this properly later. Right now I'm too deep into self-pity, anger and alcoholism.

This was very tough because the whole pack deserved 3 points. None played average even, all were good to outstanding. Note how much variation there is in the choices posted above. An easier task would have to be to nominate the worst player - toss up between Timani and Cross, give it to Cross for two dreadful errors vs one from Timani.

Reds:
3. Genia
2. Ioane (for trying)
1. Holmes (for being the only scrummager worth the name)
The reason allocating points to the Reds is so difficult is not that they played badly in itself, mostly I thought that they put in a good effort but were just totally outclassed.

Special mention to Waratahs defence coach John Muggleton who has really put some starch into the Tahs tackling this year!!
