Aussie Robbie has promised change. One measure of change might be the number of new Wallabies in the squad. Who are possible candidates?

I'd nominate Lucas, Genia, Caldwell, Mowem, Salvi, Fainifao as possibilities - although remote. Any others?

If there's any justice in the world Will Caldwell will be picked.

I don't know that there'll be many new Wallabies other than Genia & Lucas. Some of the recent caps like Kimlin & Kepu were only just blooded last year and missed out on gaining more experience due to injuries. There's probably too much centre depth for Tyrone Smith to get a spot.

I couldn't agree more. Have you seen the blog page's team. Sharpe has the most votes of all locks. How does he keep doing that? I think I might have even voted for him to be among the top locks. But yes, Caldwell is in the form of his life.

Aussies love a seagull. Jeremy Paul was very popular. Elsom is loved, despite spending more time on the wing than Morgan Turinui. The latest pin up is Ben Alexander.

The question is whether Caldwell can "own" the 4/5 spot in a lineout at test level.

Well unlike one of the incumbents, at least he'll push in the scrums! ;)

I was wondering the same thing myself as every time I have seen him play this year he seems to live out in the backline, one time pushing Gitteau out of the way to get into first five when the Force were on the attack. Would love to see a locking pair of Horwill (if fit, otherwise Kimlin) and Caldwell for the Wallabies this year with Mumm at 6 and Brown at 8. This would be a highly mobile and aggressive back 5. Throw in Robbo, Moore, Baxter and Smith and you have quite a good pack. The problem is we lack quality depth after these guys with only Pocock, Nau and a couple of other backrowers as possibly up to test standard in the key components of their position. The backs look good (or will do after the U20 WC), though I was looking forward to seeing if Ioane could step up to test standard at centre.

+1 Caldwell is a good player.

You need a good, tough donkey who just gets stuck in at lock, not a fucking clown like Sharpe. Piss him off to Japan.

Sharpe is 31. Caldwell is 26. If he makes the Wallabies, I reckon he stays in Australia at least.

I don't think Lucas deserves a wallaby spot. Valentine will be picked before him, and if Genia wasn't injured, he would be picked before Valentine.

McLinden is definately worthy of consideration considering the lack of depth at 15 and his counter attacking skills.

I am a big fan of Fainifo, the man has serious gas. He may snag the last outside back spot if Dingo wants to be a bit adventurous.

One of the reasons why I think he'll be picked. Because Deans will want an answer to that question.

Lucas will be under consideration just as much for his possibilities as a 10 than a 9.

Deans loves speed no doubt but I still reckon Cummins would get the nod ahead of Fainifo.

Ooooooohhhhh. I honestly saw the headline to that story and assumed it was footage of Willie Mason pissing outside the Sheaf.

Fanifo has been picked for the sevens which is usually a sign they didn't make the cut.

As was McLinden. Guess its the equivalent of the Under 20's World Cup for older guys. Good decision in my view.

McLinden has great attacking flair, can step, swerve, do in and outs ONCE he has caught the ball - boy rather have Dunning there with a big butterfly net - probably catch more ball
