So assuming TPN & Moore are fit which is rare these days who's next in line.

Here are the candidates in no particluar order.

Whitaker - Force
Charles - Force
Fainga'a - Reds
Edmonds - Brumbies

I think I'm different to Robbie Deans when selecting a hooker he's more likely to go with a hooker who is good around the park which would give Charles & Edmonds the front running.

I judge them on set piece 1st, in tight 2nd & seagul ability 3rd.

Edmonds does most things pretty well but I see him as a Jeremey Paul seagul type hooker.

Charles is a good player & in time will be a Wallaby but needs to improve his throwing which isn't shocking like TPN in the early days but is an area he can definitely improve.

Fainga'a is good but he just doesn't cut at test rugby sure he's played well before but is he the hooker you want when you have a scrum 5 metres out from your own try line?

Whitaker is probably my prefered 3rd choice hooker as I think he's style of play is best suited for test rugby he's a heavyweight hooker like TPN & Moore & he's strongest attributes are set piece while also being good around the park.

There is also some left field candidates like Hanson but he would need to start playing more minutes & probably start in some big super rugby games 1st.

I reckon Hanson might surprise a few this year. Perhaps more so in years to come, but could be something special.

Nathan Charles still needs a lot of work on his lineout throwing

Fitzpatrick > Hanson > Charles > Fainga'a > Daylight > Kearns > Edmonds

Edmonds is about as good or better than finger and Charles...

They're all wannabe loose forwards but Edmonds is a little more consistent in the set piece...

And what's the point of a poll if Fitzpatrick isn't there when someone like Edmonds is.
